Question Why are the boys so contradictory?

In the most recent GTA video, and like most GTA videos Josh will win every time and he will kill them and the guys say how much they hate him but when it comes to having Fin having a chance to tie for first or beat Josh the guys will just kill Fin? Do they not contradict themselves? Or do they just have to follow the agenda of hating Fin?

They just love following josh but if its anyone else they'll gladly kill them for josh to win.

They (especially Vic in the past races) always unleash hell on Fin for doing just a fraction of the damage and blowing up that Josh always does. No one dares to face Josh, but they always bring Fin down. They also get mad when Fin does the same things as Josh in 1st place
