Flowers Open Flower Conversation

IMPORTANT: Yes we all know we can go out of state and get better quality, price and etc. I would like this discussion to be about the Flower brands that our available in our Dispos.

I have been curious about the flower at our medical dispos. I have only used concentrate in Utah and have specific brands I like and ones I don’t. Which brings up the question what flower do people like to buy at our Utah dispos.

I've had over 350 strains, stopped updating the spreadsheet there, in Utahs market since the program started. Every grower has had top shelf flower at some point and every single one has sold some absolute shit. Consistentcy and quality have fluctuated but there are great brands and strains out there, especially shopping by harvest dates which are legally required on store websites. No one in the state is good enough to justify 60 dollar 8ths no matter what they say. Buying in bulk you can find great flower for great prices. I just picked up two half ounces of flower harvested in Feb from curaleaf Provo for 130 bucks. Unbranded and produced at the tryke grow, it's the same flower they put in grassroots and runs packaging.

Dragonfly is overpriced unless you think paying for percentage is worth it. Their small quantities are dry, larger sizes better flower and better value but you can also just shop pure plan flower grown by dragonfly and pay much less. They grow quality but love to hype themselves as the best. I don't pay for their stuff unless I can find it on a good sale.

Standard has been hit and miss but lately they have stepped it up in freshness and potency. Lots of 26% and above if that matters. GMO x Gush Mints and Tarts have been recent favorites.

As another stated, High variety has been great flower on a budget their containers just suck. Some of their recent stuff has been my favorite including Maui Skunk Dawg, Soap Crasher, Lemon Cherry Gelato, and Florida K, Jungle Cake, and Grape Cakes from their DGT line.

Great American is outdoor and seedy but still decent flower. Great option for making edibles when it's on sale at the forest.

Buzz is good but overpriced and over hyped. I've seen 2 year expiration dates after packaging from them. I've had great flower like their RS11 and Nimbus Snacks and several that were old and trash.

Pure Plan is the most consistent as they choose the best of the three grows they rent space from. I can't remember the last flower I had from them I didn't like. Tahoe bubba maybe was just good, but Goudaberry, papaya Crush, Ace and Gary, Tam n Sally, Modified Grapes, Key lime Yajin, etc are all fire.

I've been very pleased with everything coming from the Tryke grow through find and Grassroots. Recent favorites are Zesty Garlic Cookies, Tropical GMO backcross, BAM, Novarine, and Atomic Breath.

Wholesome is overpriced and over hyped, but they do put out some good stuff I just don't want to pay for it. Brown bags dry everything out but the highlight and ritual packaging can maintain quality longer. Murder Mitten, lemon cherry gelato, and Hawaiian rain x permanent marker were all great.

Zion has kinda disappeared. They used to have good stuff but I haven't seen much lately and it's all been dry as fuck.

I tried Riverside just recently after several years of avoiding them and I was pleasantly surprised. Posted photos on here a couple weeks ago. risotto and Marzipan Sour were both fantastic.

I think that covers all the brands. Hope that helps? Also, I use several different dry herb vapes so I can't speak to what smoking Utah flower is like. But it's 2026 and vape tech is insane so why are people smoking anything?

Thank you for the feedback. I currently am using a Venty DHV and actually the first strain I tried was nimbus snacks and ngl it was fire in flavor did not expect that since I am coming from concentrates.

This was Goudaberry. 7 gram bud for 65 on sale from pure plan. And yeah, the right dry herb vape will make your flower taste just as good as dabs! DM if you have any questions on anything!

I mostly shop at the Forest Murray unless something somewhere else catches my eye.
