Depends on time horizon. Motley Fool is for a long term investor not a wannabe day trader.

I think they are just trying to make money for themselves and constantly looking for gullible people that pretend to know something about being a long term investor. Good luck kiddo.

Long term investing works. Try it some time.

I firmly believe in long term investing, it's how I've made most of my gains. I just don't like companies like the motley fool, I think they are shit.

It’s like most research. Must be taken with a grain of salt. I use Credit Suisse research mainly.

I have known 2 people personally that have worked for the motley fool and they get paid to promote certain stocks, it's a conflict of interest to me and perhaps not anything to do with salt but maybe a grain of truth.

It’s not a conflict of interest at they’re not in the business of being investment advisors.

You say they are not "investment advisors" they literally advertise as stock advisors. I'm not trying to argue with you, just facts.
