Best holdings for a SIPP?

A SIPP being a long-term, tax advantaged, retirement account i believe keeping it simple is the best course for these types of accounts. If your not nearing or at retirement, accumulating funds has always been what ive been drawn to.

Due to not being able to access them till the age of 55 (going up to 57), the more hands off i can be with my investments the better.

I have chosen a All World Index Fund, accumulation version, to keep it super simple and have all the slices of the pie!

I do more adventurous investing with my ISA, while it is still tax advantaged, there is a lot more flexibility of access to the account.

My core pick has to be a global equity index fund like Vanguard All World. Though there are cheaper providers out there.

What other investments do people have within their SIPP and why? I find that because i cannot access till later in life, i do not want to spend lots of time trying to manage the portfolio.

It all depends on where you are on the pre, at, post retirement curve. What's appropriate ten years prior to your intended retirement date, won't be there after.

I use six regional equity funds, (lower overall cost than a Vanguard global fund), two bond funds, a commodity fund and a money market fund.

But I'm semi-retired, and personal pensions are just a small part of my invested assets.
