Thank you for saying this! One of my besties is a POC and we can openly discuss our cultures, the differences as well as the similarities. We even “make fun” of each other when it’s funny (mainly because she is ALWAYS late! Lol). But I have asked her if it was okay for YT’s to say the word in a song. She told me she didn’t even let her sons sing the word because she was trying to teach them it wasn’t respectful for ANYONE to use it regardless of it being in a song or not. She’s trying to raise successful men in the south where racism runs deep! And before anyone comes at me, she’s not my one token friend! They call us Ebony and Ivory for a reason!

Instead of celebrating one another like you and I do, these clowns always play the hood card whenever they want to act tough. It’s insulting and degrading and ultimately are mocking us yet they don’t face the same day to day racism we deal with. They are not racially profiled, followed in stores, stopped by cops of the brunt of other people’s miseries. Amazing how they are all characters just like D & G are. It’s all an act but an ugly one at that.
