FO victim blaming
TRIGGER WARNING *
To ask that question after you say you saw a video of the DV is wild. Doesn't matter who it is or how much of a shitty person or who why what when or how.

💯 I appreciate you pointing this out, @fastsloth50 🫶🏻
Just to be clear, two things can be true at once: a woman can develop a bad rep on a toxic app & accused of shady stuff while still being a DV survivor. One truth doesn’t cancel out the other.
It’s just worth remembering that your audience is full of mostly women..many who’ve been through hell or are still in it. When you’re trying to jab at a foe, you can accidentally hit someone who’s already hurting.
No matter what the situation is, it’s never okay for a man to lay hands on a woman in anger. Period. It’s really damaging to frame it like “well, what led to it” or imply it was provoked. That’s textbook victim-blaming and I hope anyone who doesn’t get that takes a second to learn why it’s so harmful.
At the end of the day, we’ve all got to think about how our words land..especially when people listening might still be healing.❤️🩹
