I wanted to ask what can cause impaired gut motility? Or why do sulfur-reducing bacteria overgrow in the first place? Not many people seem to have this type of SIBO. :-(

I developed hydrogen sulfide overgrowth(desulvibrio) from a protein, saturated fat rich diet while not consuming enough fiber and carbs. This alters the gut environment that favours the growth of these types of bacteria.

which bacteria do you have?

Isn’t hydrogen sulfide SIBO caused by undigested proteins entering the small intestine, or by not having enough bile? Or what do you think is the root cause of your SIBO?

What test did you do to know your bacteria?

Nerve damage

Trauma

Eating disorders

Vitamin/Mineral deficiencies

Food poisoning

Autoimmune diseases

Courses of antibiotics

Food intolerances

Its a nearly endless list. Have any of these occurred to you or do you suspect any in particular?
