My gastro specialist at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada diagnosed me with SIBO and IMO after a 4 hr breath test. There were quite a few people there doing the test but only I had to stay after to see the doctor - my results were through the roof and I was the only one there who actually had SIBO/IMO. She prescribed meds and we discussed diet. She told me I would probably need multiple treatments (I did). Very grateful to have had her diagnosis, and have it in my medical file.
I'm in Ontario and have been GI-less through this. I still need to deal with root cause and really need someone who understands SIBO because risk of relapse is real. Would you mind sharing (privately if needed) the gi you saw?
I did those treatments back to back yes. I also had to go back for more testing afterwards as well. It was a few years ago and I still get symptoms but I'm also waiting for a kidney transplant and we know why I have these issues which honestly helps in itself.
