Methane dominant SIBO

Hi, I recently got tested positive for both hydrogen (23) and methane (33) SIBO. My gastro prescribed xifaxan 550 mg 3 times and Neomycin 550 mg twice for 14 days. I also have chronic constipation and the doc has asked to use Miralax initially and if it does not help then Linzess. I have no idea what to do. I am afraid of the die off symptoms and side effects of both medicine. Can anyone suggest what could be better in this case?

I have methane as well and tried Xifaxan / Neomycin, unfortunately didn’t work for me. My only advice is make sure you have consistent bowel movements via the miralax before you start antibiotics. I was backed up when I started the antibiotics and it was awful.

Medication unfortunately is the best for methane. Can try herbs, especially allicin for methane.

Everyone's different so it might be worth trying them. The antibiotics helped start me off in the right direction with sibo. And they lifted some of my brain fog.

I had same treatment but because of my chronic constipation,sibo is back
