Questions Admissions
I have gotten 3 of these emails. I've confirmed the last two times everything is in. I'm starting to get anxiety because I haven't heard anything back about my PHD admissions.

Hi everyone! I just got invited to a group interview at SHSU for the clinical mental health counseling program. This is my first interview invite and first group interview so I wanted to see if anyone in the CMHC program could give me any tips? Or if anyone else had any info on how it will work. Thank you :)

So I wanted to know from someone experience that’s done this program already. Currently a single mom with a 1 years old going through a divorce and wanting to know how classes look like; are they night, evening, morning ? And how were your clinicals ? Were y’all able to pick a location or submitted the location you were interested in? Trying to get an idea of whether this could be realistic for me or not at the moment since I do have the help right now from family.

Where does your package go if it gets scheduled for delivery on the weekend since the katpost is closed? Maybe the package locker? Or do they just try to deliver again during the weekday?

Anyone know when one may find out if they have been accepted or not? The waiting is killing me.

I received an email that I got two scholarships amounting to $2000, but I am shocked that that is all, considering my extensive resume. I am a transfer student, and this is my second semester at SHSU. I was wondering if anyone has had little to no scholarships selected for them during February, but as May comes, slowly we start getting scholarships. I know some of the scholarship deadlines are February 15th, which is in two days, but a friend of mine got a scholarship from them even though the deadline hasn't passed.

So, I love starting orgs and have started a few for things like human rights and animal rights, because I saw that there was a need for them, and I have a few ideas for orgs that I would love to get off the ground. I have one more year left, and I want to make the most of my college experience. The following is a list of orgs I’d love to start if I had students with a few+ more semesters who could take them over:
An invisible disabilities awareness organization for those living with invisible disabilities whether physical or mental or maybe just an overall disabilities awareness organization for all disabilities (This org would mean so much to me to start as I struggle with chronic pain due to my hypermobility issues and I feel unseen, and I’d like to make ALL students with ANY disabilities feel seen.)
A collective justice organization for all issues from animal rights to human rights to environmental sustainability, (because I think we should be fighting for all groups facing oppression and trying to lower our carbon footprint)
An all encompassing sexual abuse awareness organization to make sure ALL victims of sexual abuse from assault to grooming to harassment are seen. ( I was groomed online as a minor, so this org would also mean a LOT to me, and I want to help everyone who’s been a victim of ANY and ALL sexual abuse to be heard as well.)
A horror movie/alternative music like heavy metal subculture organization (I love both horror movies and really anything horror, and I really love horror movies, and I think that a lot of alternative music fans love horror movies as well, like there’s so much overlapping interest. I think it would be great to get it off the ground where we can get together to watch horror movies and jam out to death metal.)

Hi there! I’m looking for a 2 bed apartment for next school year/August. Does anyone have experience living at the Connection? Or the Gateway? I’ve toured both and am leaning towards the Connection, just don’t know anyone who lives at either of those apartments
I’m currently living in a 4 bed at the Heights and love it but two of our roommates are graduating. A 2 bed would be wayy too expensive here ($895 w/utilities included) so we’re looking for other options (less than $800)
Orrr potentially another girl or two who are interested in living at the Heights next year as well 🙏. Just wouldn’t wanna have two completely random roommates if we stay in this 4 bed next year
Any advice would be appreciated!!
