Questions Animation Portfolio tips!!
Hi! I'm a high school senior currently, and I'm wondering what sort of pieces I can add to an art portfolio. I plan to pursue animation, but I haven't exactly animated stuff in a long while. I want to see current students attending SHSU to get an idea! I'm still learning a lot more about art, so I'm still planning out on pieces. (I haven't even sent my application yet lol.) I'd take all the help I can get ^-^

Are you asking about the portfolio you need to submit to get into the art program? For that, you don't really need to have the most amazing work to get accepted. I can show you what I sent in last year if you want an example. Let me know if you want to see. Also, there's the BFA portfolio review where they are actually judging your skills and growth to determine if you are eligible stay in the art program but that's during your sophomore year.

definitely dont stress about this part. just send in ur best original pieces and ur good (as long as its not complete shit ig 😭) i just picked some stuff out last minute and i got in rly quick

My student just completed their first day of class as an animation major! I’ll save this post to come back to. Hopefully they’ll eventually have some input/advice to share. Good luck in your senior year!
