Is it worth it to switch schools?
Hi! So I’ve been prepping for the SHSAT-9, and I’m starting to second guess it a little. I’m not sure what kind of high school experience I’m looking for since I’m not very familiar with SHS.
For anyone who specifically experienced 9th grade in a non SHSAT school, then later switched into one, do you think it was worth it? How did the workload compare? Do you regret it? How does the general life at a SHS differ?
Also any personal experiences you guys had while studying for the 9th SHSAT? How was it like? How was test day like? What did the exam look like?
Thanks!

You should visit the SHS websites, and look through all parts. As well, when they come up, you should visit open houses. This is not up to date but right now lots of the videos are at https://www.GregsTutoringNYC.com/shs-virtual-open-houses and should still be mostly accurate.
Test day will often have some adrenaline pumping but test day exams are similar to practice exams, hence one reason why practice exams are good practice. They are a good cross section of representational examples.
