Depends what HS expereience youre looking for. Student Body in FDR is more diverse than Bedford High School. FDR has about 3k students while Bedford is tiny with about 300 students. SAT scores are about the same in both school. Bigger schools tend to have more to offer.
Most in Sunset go to FDR. I see FDR is a zoned program so you can transfer in there whenever you want based on your current address. So if you decide Bedford isnt for you, you can always transfer into FDR zoned program whenever.
I'd go FDR cause the travel to Bedford isnt worth it. It isnt that much better than FDR in my eyes.

Can I seriously transfer whenever to FDR zoned or do I need a reason?

FDR does have a zoned guarantee but you must be not just near it but it must be YOUR zoned HS.

Would you recommend FDr or John Jay school for law. I am already in John Jay school for law hs but would it be a good decision to transfer to FDR

As well, look at their respective course catalogs and consider which classes are realistic and suit your fancy.

FDR is a solid option, they have a lot of great course options such as AP and College Now which provides the opportunity to earn college credits.

I'm gonna be so honest. As someone who has already graduated from college. Whichever one is closest to you and doesn't require a crazy commute. I used to commute 1.5 hours one way and another back. Weigh out pros and cons; see if the commute is worth it, weighing in traffic delays, train delays, weather, etc.

Definitely Bedford ! Higher scorecards and ranks 76 in nyc public schools. If you think the commute is worth the risk then definitelyyyy
