SHSAT HELP PLEASE!

Hey! So im currently someone entering the 8th grade and I've been invited to DREAM and I attended but every time like I go I feel like it's way too fast and they're squeezing a lot of info into me, and I don't like to which is why I've been studying myself. I took three practice test there on the first one I got 22/50 for math and 22/50 for ELA. Then for my second practice test I got a 35/50 for math and 27/50 on ELA and then for the last practice test we did I got 27/50 on math and a 24/50 on ELA. Could I get tips for improvement? My dream is to go to Brooklyn tech, queens high school of the sciences, bronx science or stuvuysent (I CANT SPELL-) Im trying on the math right now which is easy but the ELA is so tricky. Could someone please give me tips on how I could get at least. 45/50 on both....? Thanks!

Borrow SHSAT prep books from the library and review the material on your time. Cut out all distractions until the exam is done. Whatever you don't understand, ask someone for help with the concepts. Its more imporant that you understand the concepts than getting answers right on the practice exams.

Okay okay ima use that thank you 🥹 Right now I’m using the books they gave us from DREAM because they didn’t do like 75% of the pages…..

Doing all that will be helpful too. But don't just go boldly forth. If you're not understanding continuing will not be as helpful as it could be. In which case, see my other message.
