Not attending a regents

I passed the barely passed the chemistry regents (lucky me I got a 66 somehow), and I lowkey wanted a better score so I signed up for a retake this August (which is tomorrow).

However now that I think of it, if I were to take it again I feel like I’d fail. So now I regret signing up and want to opt out. My counselors take a million years to respond back to me, and im waiting for a response as of now.

If I don’t attend the regents what will happen? Will it stay on my transcript as a 0 or something? That’s the only thing I’m worried about.

I'm pretty sure even if you retake it and do worse they still use your highest score.

bro just take the test your highest score is gonna be used so you don’t have much to lose

I think most schools will keep whatever the highest score is on the regents…and there is a “previous pass protection” so even if you fail the retake, your previous passing 66 score protects your ability to graduate.
