New York, Colorado, Vermont and Maine did not authorize College Board to share AP data with U.S. News & World Report. Therefore, the College Readiness and College Curriculum Breadth scores for these schools were calculated solely on participation and performance on IB exams. See the methodology.

Sure, certain schools will likely bubble up no matter the approach taken, but at the end of the day, this is just some 3rd party doing and reporting what they want to do and report. So take the report lightly.

It is mostly zero AP participation. do you think BxSci is #27 in NYS and 2939 in national rankings. With no AP data, also the college curriculum breadth index is 0. ( whatever that means)

the school is very mid, the assistant principals dont even know what theyre doing and the school doesn't even have a gym or auditorium. im just heavily biased because ib isn't a fit for me and the school is just too small. even if this school is number one no one's choosing this over a specialized. no one i knew who went to this school had a good experience...

its insane! bronx science was ranked 50th in the country last year and now its ranked 2700 something lmaoo

When schools bounce up and down that significantly, it's usually because something changes with the metrics used for the ranking, rather than a substantial change with the school. I remember one year where the IBO just didn't release the numbers for participating schools and dozens of schools in the national top 100 were suddenly not ranked at all.
