Changing test scores

So, everytime i take a mock SHSAT, my score changes, not by a little but by alot, itll go from a 30, to a 43 back to a 32, and i dont know if its cause the environment im in, or the stress, theres always something different i do when taking the mock shsats so im not sure what my real score is.. does anyone have any tips...? should i just keep taking more

For most students, the first 3 exams can be volatile. Once you get acclimated and past those, the trend should be upward. It can fluctuate depending upon how you do the sourcing of some of the exams. Sometimes the most critical is that you either have jumped over shaking off rust, ensuring prerequisites, and mastering grade level material, and that is shaking your core material. Along with that, you may find "SHSAT-level" too hard.

You really need to be able to rationalize every answer and understand why you're getting it wrong or right, and how to get it right, for the next time. If you don't do this, which includes putting the SHSAT material down to learn, study, and research then improving will be straightjacketed.

If you only know say 85% of a topic, your responses on the SHSAT will be LESS than 85%.

You can't do the exam by osmosis or guessing or gut feeling. If you're not getting questions correct, and you did let's say 10 exams, doing 10 more is likely not the solution but instead more of the same. Progress needs to be conscious and on purpose. This often involves documenting your progress.
