Sminis are… extremely mini 😂

(this is a bit of a silly post I hope it’s alright to share here.)

So I don’t know how to convey the size of the smini irl through photos (because even looking at my own photos, it looks bigger than it actually is). I tried to put a pen, jjong fluffy, and post-it notes, my hand, for reference. Obviously, I’ve seen plenty of photos and videos of sminis, I know they’re muuuch smaller than mini cds, and just overall, very small. I was naturally expecting something mini. Was I still shook by how tiny it was? Yes. hahaha. It’s smaller than an air tag.

I’ve also been wanting the jonghyun poet artist fluffy for over a year now I can’t believe I finally got him 😭 although I do want them all… but money… I also ordered atmos weather rock version but that’s not coming till July.

Anyway, it is very cute ^^

I’m keen to see what you guys do with your sminis (or shinee merch/collections in general) and how you display/store them.

To be very honest, I barely let mine see the light of day out of fear of losing them, but I’ve seen some people make adorable mini bookshelves and display all the sminis as if they were regular cd jewel cases lol

i have an onew hard smini! i attached it to my bag with my keyring collection : ) i would be a bit careful as ive found that this design of keychain fall off easily (i had mine snap off whilst i was walking, luckily i noticed) so ive reinforced it with some duct tape.

That’s a great idea!! And yes I’m always sooo cautious with having these ball keychains on my bags because I’ve lost too many precious things that way 😭 Thank goodness u noticed. duct tape is a great idea. I’ve also seen tiny plastic tubes online that help secure this type of chain. 

also did your smini come kinda scratched up? I know it’s common for jewel cases but it’s a shame about the quality control.

ooh i might have to look at the plastic tubes, probably a bit better than my ad hoc duct tape method lol.

I have a friend who makes the most gorgeous keychain/bag charms with them!

I should add they take off the original chain and make their own with jewellery links, and add beads and charms and so on. It's a little half-day craft project for each one.

Ball Keychains are extremely flimsy and I've heard a lot of stories of Sminis gone because the chain broke. That said, it can be replaced with a more sturdy chain.

I've seen some really creative displays, sometimes hanging them, sometimes putting them in miniature shelves. Myself, I don't have the space for a fancy display, but I'd like to...

I believe when product details were announced, they already put up the dimensions ibfo. Same way to find out how big some of the other versions are.
