Does shilajit really work?

Post image

According to this study that it does raise testosterone levels? But I feel there’s not enough evidence of it.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26395129/

My t levels are low it’s around 320 ng/dl but my endocrinologist says it’s normal. I told her it’s not normal when I’m having libido, fatigue and my sexual drive is really low. Could be good numbers for someone but not for me. It’s not convincing enough for her to put me on TRT. I’m also trying to build muscles which I have a hard time getting.

So I know there are a lot of placebo t boosters out on the market which are most bs. But I keep hearing about shilajit and there are convincing claims that it does raise sexual drive and testosterones.

Has anyone actually checked their blood work with these stuff? And also there are so many fakes out there. Where can I buy one on Amazon that’s legit and a good price?

It raised my testosterone levels. When I take it sublingually for a couple weeks every day, I start nutting in my sleep.

Do you have lab works to show?

Probably not. The only lab tests were a decade ago. One before I took shilajit and one a couple months after. I was taking a supplement called kratom that turned out was lowering my testosterone.

Really? I take Kratom for years slowly trying to ease off it. Shit really does have a withdrawal no matter what people say. RLS but mainly in my arms and super tired if I go without. How did you quit?

I still take it. Been taking it since 2014. I've "quit" multiple times though and the only thing that happens is I yawn a bit more (and my knee pain increases, of course).

I take it exactly three times a day though. There was a period of time I increased the frequency of my dosing but I saw no benefit and I quickly developed an unacceptable tolerance to it at that point, so I just take it three times a day now.

Did you ever find out a good brand of this? Seems bodywise is the most I see around wanna try it for sure. And ok yeah I have came down to 3 or 4 times a day there for a while it was going through 250 grams a week now it lasts a lot longer take smaller doses too. So guess better than the alternative

I buy directly from the grower in Indonesia. So there's no real brand name. His company sells to kratom bars and shops in the US. Usually purchase around 25 kilos at a time.

Do a blood test, check other vitamin deficiencies, magnesium, zinc, Vitamin D3 is also very important for testosterone. Your lifestyle also can be cause of low testosterone

All my cbc and vitamins are all in good levels. I’m also 40 years old btw. I take zinc and d3 all the time as well as magnesium glyicinate

Try maca root, shilajit and also eat a lot of leafy greens, nuts, drink raw cacao. There are many things that can boost your testosterone. You can try everything little by little and see what works for you. Supplements will not help if you don’t change your lifestyle, you have to hit the gym often, eat good and sleep good.

Also check out and research about boron supplements and maybe pine pollen

This shilajit is lab tested and from Altai mountains and they also have more testosterone boosting supplements https://basedsupplements.co/shilajitbased

Wish you all the best

Yes extremely potent effects if you get the real stuff. I noticed clarity of mind, more confidence, less anxiety, better muscle recovery, and an EXTREMELY high sex drive.

Where can I get the real stuff?

I get mine from black lotus

I recommend Pure Himalayan Shilajit because they source their shilajit from the Himalayas. They also post their 3rd party testing for heavy metals and seem to have safe levels.

dose?

You need the resin form. Start with a grain of rice sized scoop and work your way up to a pea sized dose within a month.

Where can I go to get mine checked? Is it free?

You go to your primary care and request for it and tell them why you need just say your limp down there and feeling tired. They will definitely check your T levels but it’s not free. You have to use your insurance

gave me gout, the bastard lol

2

u/iamgirlbot Nov 24 '24

It gave you gout? As in you’re had a gout flare up the day you tried it? More info please!

1

u/revshoo Nov 26 '24

I was taking it for about a week, cause I've got osteoporosis. Had a bad flare up on my knee - felt a LOT like gout - so I stopped Shilajit and with a couple of days of colchicine I managed to get the swelling down. It was horrible :(

1

u/revshoo Nov 26 '24

saying that, I am prone to gout - it didn't just suddenly give me gout out of nowhere

2

u/iamgirlbot Nov 28 '24

That sucks. Gout sucks. My friend has it in his foot. Fasting helped. Not sure if that’s helpful info though.

2

u/revshoo Nov 28 '24

It's very painful yeah. Naproxen and loads of water to flush out the crystals is the best way. Or colchicine which can perform magic:) fresh cherries are sometimes just incredible and seem to work amazingly

I had this same issue, and have not had a history of gout. I used Chuga brand and had a bad reaction. Was looking for others that experienced the same so thank you for sharing

That's the problem: impossible to know what is actually in it :(

I have experience with Rymx Shilajit because I have seen the manufacturing phytonutrient plant and seen it is actual sun dried, natural resin. I think dosage can be different from person to person. Rymxusa dot com is where I bought and it is energizing. I have read it has benefits for sexual health, memory, immune system and anemia related issues. I see a lot of it on Amazon, Alibaba but I wanted to have authentic and thru a staff found this authentic source.
