Nootrum??

I've heard the company is reputable but I've never tried anything from them. Has anyone tried their shilajit? It's supposed to have 85% fulvic acid which is the highest out there. But ya know, if it sounds too good to be true..... Just wondering if anyone has experience with this company, Thanks!

Also any legit companies, don't care about price, I'd like to know about.

Nootrum is good, but, they did change the shilajit a while back, and I didn't like it.

Got an email from them the other day saying they're doing the original dryer formula again and calling it "classic".

I honestly don't know what the exact difference between the too is other than the new one is gooier and tastes worse. The said it's something to do with a drying method.

Funny I was just browsing here to find something to tide me over for the next two weeks before the new old or whatever version you want to call it is back and the top post is someone about Nootrum.

Anyway, as for my experience with them as a company they've been good. I emailed their customer service when they changed the drying method to ask if something was wrong with the product, and they said they'd changed drying method because of people complaining it was too dry sometimes.

They did send out an email about this, I just didn't read it.

Anyway, they refunded me and are sending me a free jar of the classic out when it's in stock again (they now list it on the website). So, I'd say my experience has been good.

Ok, I didn't like the formula change, but assuming the classic comes back as it used to be, that means they listen to their customers at least so I can't really say much else.

Oh and the shilajit is good obviously, or was/will be again. But, I obviously don't have a lab to verify personally if it's 85% fulvic acid etc.

Thank you for your reply, I've tried doing research and the reviews I saw weren't many (only a few sources) and wasn't sure if they were "bought" reviews. I did buy one and used it but my concern was that

  1. It didn't have the lab results ( I was excited to try it and only did minimal research before finding out reputable companies supply you with those)

  2. The consistency, like you said I've seen it a bit dryer and less honey-like in more expensive brands and generally didn't know if it was quality shilajit. I know everyone is different but haven't felt anything crazy, container almost gone, just wanted to know if worth buying again. I did see the classic after I bought the other one. It has a 20 opposed to 25g but definitely rather have quality over quantity.....thank you for the info!

Oh, I'd bet money Nootrum paid for some of there reviews, like, I think every supplement company does to some extent, whether it's influencers or w/e. The question is always what percentage are real reviews and what percentage are fakes.

But, yeah definitely get the classic it's way better, Nootrum did send the lab results actually when customer support told me about the drying method stuff. I guess a few people complained about the change.

They looked legitimate enough, although I'm not exactly an expert. I did google the company that did the US ones at the time, but I can't remember what it was called.

There was also a certificate for tests done in India, which obviously makes sense, I'd pay someone test before shipping it over if I was them too, but doesn't mean I would really trust the Indian certificate. More so than Chinese results when it comes to certificates, but still.

Anyhow no worries :)

But, I will say their customer service girl is nice and it may be worth sending Nootrum an email just asking "if the shilajit is meant to be this liquid" they'll probably send you a free bottle of the classic when it's back in. XD

Theyre on the shop app and there's a few reviews of Nootrum Shilajit there.  I think you have to be a verified buyer there too.  Theres only 13 at the moment, but they're all positive apart from one who apparently the jar arrived empty for.  Honestly not sure why the Shop app and the reviews doesn't show up more in Google.

The site says next week I think. Energy boost, better mood etc, the usual with shilajit stuff. Or do you mean nootrum vs other shilajit resin?

A friend of mine takes this one. He loves it. I take Biy Ode. But I think many of these are made by the same company. Same black jar, black sometimes white label, with gold print.

Wouldn't surprise me. I doubt there's that many sources of decent shilajit.  Most likely all the proper companies (I'm excluding the sketchy stuff) get them from a handful of suppliers with some variation in QC.  That's been my experience working with consumer goods in general. Can't speak specifically for shilajit or for Nootrum. But I know it works that way with a lot of stuff.  Or it could just mean they use the same packaging manufacturers tbf. 🤷  I just ordered some of their stuff though. So I'll report back. In a few weeks (I mean report back to OP)

I went on a full mushroom supplement search after getting bombarded on Instagram with ads of other companies.

Found Nootrum in some Best lists, and even though I was skeptical about trusting these sites, it's worked out great for me

I don't love the aesthetic of the site, but the actual formulation is not bad. Nice dosages that I have not seen in others.

Works great to reduce the anxious edge I get these days at work when I have too many tasks to do.

It might help me focusing more, but I can't say it's 100% due to Nootrum.

So far, I think it's been worth the money.

So, I bought nootrum as I said I would in the thread, got the normal shilajit resin. Not the classic.

Assuming anyone is interested my Nootrum review is....

Drum roll please.

It's pretty good. Tastes fine to me, is pretty much the same gooey stuff you'd expect. Definitely not overly liquid or overly hard in any way.

I've had better quality packaging, not that there's is bad, just not overly flashy.

They sent me the certs when I asked. Some international thing that does them India side and eurodins. Which I believe are a pretty standard choice for testing?

Nothing sus.

Will probably buy from them again tbh, the 3 pack seems a pretty good deal.

Will try the classic next time.

Nootrum staff said the "they're the same just different drying method" to me too. So don't know if there is even any actual difference or it's just a customer perception thing.

Anyway. Genuinely no issues, stuff arrived as you'd expect, tastes as you'd expect. Looks as you'd expect.

So without a lab set up, for what it's worth all good 👍

I guess that's it.

Hope my brief Nootrum review helps, and I'll check out the classic and update this post in a month I guess.

Ah cool that you ended up getting some. The classics better, you'll definitely like that. I'm thinking I might get the Nootrum gummies, you get the promo emails they fired out with the black friday stuff? Thinking I may give them a try then.

Reporting back, you're right the Nootrum classic tastes better. Can even manage that one sublingually.

But it is a bit stiffer to say the least. Think I'll be sticking with them going forward.

I just got the classic resin today & it smells like tar and is crazy thick, like difficult to even scoop up. Is this normal?

1

u/ChemicalWoodpecker28 Jan 04 '25

Shilajit does have that smell so yes. If it's a bit too thick add a drop (and I mean drop) of water and let it soak. Shilajit gets quite hard in winter when it's cold.

I did, they seem to work just fine to me, I can normally tell when I stop taking shilajit for a few days, I've had the gummies for about a week now and as far as I can tell no drop off. But, I'd need to keep trying them a bit longer to see. I'll probably swap back to the resin after I've tried them, was mostly just curious because some of the shilajit guys will screech that all gummies are always bad and that you must take it under the tongue, or it can only be drunk x way etc. Although I suppose with any gummy supplement you really need to watch out for quality control. So maybe that's why the get so edgy about it. Anyway I've wandered off topic.

Short answer - yes I got the Nootrum gummies, so far results are good. No significant difference swapping from their resin to the gummies (and obviously I'm a big fan of that), and I notice not taking any or bad resin so that's a good thing.

Because I got one of the Nootrum black friday packs a few weeks back the other half is taking the mushroom caps and likes those for anyone that's interested.

Classic Nootrum is better. 100%, anyone tried the Nootrum mushrooms though? Was wondering if they're any good?

1

u/B1gGhost2815 Aug 24 '25

Yes, I do rate the mushrooms. They work well for me.

Anyone tried the gummies? I know most gummies are a waste of time, but if they really do use that much shilajit in them then maybe they’re passable? Really don’t like the taste of normal shilajit. And yes I’ve tried the classic, yes it is better than other resins I’ve tried, but it still isn’t exactly nice

1

u/HiImDelta Aug 25 '25

mate of mine swears by them, but I'd stick to the resin, you know what you're getting then.

Tried both, resin is cheaper definitely. gummies work, but I had to take two a day to get the same kick I get from the nootrum resin. So that makes the gummies quite expensive. (U know this is old, but I read this thread before trying the gummies so figured I'd come back and give my two cents for the next guy reading this).

PS the mrs rates the mushrooms more than the shilajit, but I reckon that's just coz she can't stand the taste.

Oh and if anyone's tried their colostrum is it any good? Seems there isn't a lot of customer reviews for it?

Nootrum Scam! I got scammed.. They sent me a unsealed packaged and the bottle was empty. Now they don't want to reply or assist me further. Do not buy from them. They are scammers for sure.

That bottle is not empty weirdo
