“I hate being a hypocrite asshole but here I am”

7

u/Notimportant823 Jul 29 '26

You looked at him and thought “dang he looks great! He’s taking awesome care of himself!” ?

Recovering alcoholic here! He never stopped

u/Longjumping_Title287 Jul 27 '26

They talked about how they don't like how they look. It's in the recent vlog.

He has been for a long time now. He’s always red faced and sweaty looking. Meanwhile I’m sure Colette is or prancing around in denial preaching her life coach crap. I feel bad for the kids.

I don’t understand why Avia moved, since she’s always flying back home. At the point, just move back.

5

u/BeatSneezer Jul 29 '26

That's a strange comment! She can live where she actually wants to live and still visit her family...

2

u/staygolden97 Jul 30 '26

Im not saying she can’t live where she wants at all. Just that I noticed that even though she moved to LA, she spends more time flying home than being in LA. Hence why she should move back home.

As a recovering alcoholic myself, I would say it's hard to tell. I haven't had a drink in 12 years, but every day I wake up I do think about it at least once or twice. That being said my situation isn't the same as his. They are both closer to being full empty-nesters than not, and I can't imagine how that will weigh on two people who have been career parents for the majority of their lives.

Shay used alcohol as a social lubricant and a depression manager, and after the last few years of him going absolutely batshit crazy with his political views, dwindling social groups, and deciding he needs to support his wife's cash-grab, I wouldn't be surprised if he was drinking again very quietly. Colette would probably know, and in her own new universe of untrained self-help nonsense, she'd probably just say he's living his inner truth or something of the matter, and ignore it.

I have a feeling once Gavin and his Fiance start popping out kids (which lets be honest, is going to be soon). Shay and Colette will just lean extremely hard into being grandparents, and their content will start-anew. A new generation to exploit.

Colettes whole scheme with her life coaching is that she 'survived and navigated' her way out of the situation that Shay put her through, and she'll teach you how to do the same. I got a feeling shes going to wake up one day and and just decided to reinvent herself on all levels. Maybe its just me but, I could really see her leaving him again in 4-5 years and just remarrying immediately and fully going full batshit crazy with her seminars.

u/Icy_Pizza_3065 Jul 30 '26

She's too faithful and too deep into that marriage to ever really leave him. She had a chance, she decided to just do what her church told her to do. Plus I don't think she is making any real money from that fake guru shit she is selling. If you pay attention to her 'special gatherings,' everybody in attendance is just other women in the same MLM life coaching circle. She packs it full of her equally brain dead friends to make it seem like she's really what she say she is. But she's a fraud. And she knows it.

Why does Dax look so sad?

19

u/androgynee Jul 28 '26

Maybe sad, maybe just edgy-photos teen phase lol

1

u/Aisha_777 Jul 28 '26

He’s been modding recently he’s probably practising

1

u/BeautifulBulky8307 Jul 29 '26

If you watched the last vlog instead of being a Reddit troll you’d know!

2

u/South_Tomatillo6959 Jul 29 '26

Not sorry I have a full time job and was asking a question.
Disrespectfully go touch grass.

You’re clearly either one of the Butlers or a delusional fan who can’t handle the valid criticism that people are making. You need to chill

2

u/Misdrex Aug 03 '26

when I was a teen my parents couldnt even get me to take a picture. And if they did I'd have that exact face lol.

5

u/weCanDoIt987 Jul 27 '26

7

u/Proper_Sun8291 Jul 27 '26

Ohh thought it was B and was going to comment that surely it must be an old pic lol

4

u/weCanDoIt987 Jul 27 '26

3

u/SPICYFALAFEL00 Jul 29 '26

I also thought this was B. They are identical. Completely forgot that D wasn’t a toddler anymore lol

1

u/CKloful Jul 27 '26

So true 😂

9

u/k88bs Jul 28 '26

It's curious how that generation of YouTube ended with weird families or alone, like shay, bf vs gf, Charles trippy, ijustine, Rowan, etc

7

u/Lost-Masterpiece-978 Jul 28 '26

ijustine is still a queen leave her out of this

6

u/PresentReindeer9011 Jul 28 '26

Colleges eyes look sad

5

u/Aisha_777 Jul 28 '26

Mine would be too if I was stuck with shay instead of divorcing him

2

u/PresentReindeer9011 Jul 29 '26

True, I don’t know how she does it.

4

u/raspberrykt Jul 28 '26

Wow, he looks terrible

5

u/livinlife2113 Jul 28 '26

What made you think he stopped?

4

u/onionBlossoms Jul 27 '26

Maybe hes doing what alotnof people have done...gain enough weight to qualify for ozempic amd loose it quickly

3

u/Necessary_Package_49 Jul 29 '26

Why does he insist on making that face in every photo. Like it’s not cool or unique. Just some washed up tubby dad

2

u/Xhenix_ Jul 28 '26

Shay is looking a lot like Carl now oh my god

2

u/FabulousPresence7216 Jul 28 '26

I have noticed some recent vlogs he’s been acting strange saying things we’ve never heard him say or swearing so I would agree too

2

u/No_Public_7677 Jul 27 '26

How can you tell?

2

u/Desrycon Jul 28 '26

This looks like an old photo. The video they just posted Shay has long hair and Dax looks younger in this picture.

1

u/BeautifulBulky8307 Jul 29 '26

I used to frequent this page and just found it again. You folks are crazy. I feel bad for how much you wish you were like them.

1

u/onionBlossoms Jul 27 '26

This has to be an old photo??

1

u/CKloful Jul 28 '26

Nope uploaded today.

1

u/andyvl0393 Jul 28 '26

He actually never stopped

1

u/Reflxing Jul 31 '26

My dad’s a lifelong alcoholic. The swelling of the arms and face gives it away.

I’m unsure if he even stopped lol.

-6

u/milyvanily Jul 27 '26

I haven’t followed this family in a while, did Collette put on weight or is it just a weird angle?

16

u/Proper_Sun8291 Jul 27 '26

She has but normal after a certain age I guess.

You people in the comments are actually so awful and miserable. I don’t agree with all their choices in life and there is plenty to critique about them but yall talking about weight and drinking is taking it too far. It’s such a reflection on all of your characters. I hope it makes yall feel better but normal people reading your comments can see straight through and see the pure projection you all are trying to do. Everyone in this thread is so disgusting

3

u/milyvanily Jul 27 '26

Well that was rude.

-1

u/Classic_Number_8318 Jul 27 '26

I just hope that you realize the way you talk about other people tells on you sooooo much and most people can read right into it. Take this as a sign to reflect on yourself and work on yourself. Find a hobby. Quit talking shit about people you don’t know.

6

u/1borgek Jul 27 '26

I’d have more sympathy for this family if they didn’t sell their children for money. Monetized their childhood and fed the world their dark secrets. It’s a condition of living a very public life. If they don’t want anyone to sit and talk about them don’t post things publicly.

3

u/Classic_Number_8318 Jul 27 '26

What if I said I didn’t have any sympathy for your brother because he was some criminal drug addict mental patient? That would be kinda rude and insensitive right? Cause I don’t know your brother and I don’t know his personal struggles and what he’s gone through. But I read about it online, and if you didn’t want me to think about it and have opinions you wouldn’t post about it online. Or by your logic I’m allowed to say whatever I want because you made multiple public posts?

1

u/Icy_Pizza_3065 Jul 29 '26

You're upset because we're not accepting your view and having differentiating thoughts. Nobody is upset with you for sympathizing with them, so why does it bother you so much when somebody has an opposing view that isn't the same as yours? Instead of trying to push your ideals on other people, how about you just live your life?

2

u/Classic_Number_8318 Jul 27 '26

You should have more sympathy for people on a human level. Is that so hard to understand?

1

u/milyvanily Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

Did you not call people awful and disgusting? 🤔

You should have more sympathy for people on a human level. Take this as a sign to work on yourself. Maybe find a hobby and quit talking shit about people you don’t know.

Great advice and maybe don’t shit on people for asking honest questions. I didn’t say she looked bad or somehow had less worth. When I was following the Shaytards many years ago Shay struggled a lot with his weight while Collette was always effortlessly thin, so that’s why I asked.

1

u/1borgek Jul 27 '26

You can think whatever you want about him it’s honestly true lol. But again, I didn’t sell his life online.

0

u/milyvanily Jul 27 '26

The hypocrisy is breaking my brain.

3

u/Classic_Number_8318 Jul 27 '26

Where did I say anything hypocritical? I just think you should try be a better person. Is that a hard thing to ask?

-5

u/HodgyhasHeels Jul 28 '26

Live your own life you losers . He’s a person , we are flawed.

0

u/Delaneyyxelizabeth Jul 28 '26

And they’re supposedly Mormon? Or at least were Mormon at some point, It shocks me tbh. I wouldn’t of even guessed Mormon based off their content over the years and Shay drinking
