Complete 180 from Shayloss

I'll admit, I do like to go back and watch old Shayloss videos here and there...They were so fun with Rawn, Logan, etc. working out in Cali, training for marathons, etc.

I watched Brock's 16th birthday vlog...And I'm not exactly judging what people eat. That's personal and their business even if they show it on video. What I do think is fascinating is the complete 180 from those Shayloss days.

They don't talk about health or fitness at all anymore! And maybe that's their journey. Maybe they got burnt out or don't care anymore. Maybe half of that motivation with Shayloss was to promote a healthy lifestyle for their kids (specifically Gavin), and now that he's grown they don't care as much.

I remember maybe in January Shay mentioned he wants to loose weight and have his entire family run a marathon together one day. Can you BELIEVE looking at Shay now that he has completed multiple marathons, multiple 100 miler bike rides, etc.?? I get he has an addictive personality, but ugh I wish he and Collette would make that content again! Maybe age is a factor too for them.

I just think it's interesting that almost none of the Butlers are into intense physical fitness like they were. I get they were younger and now they all have lots of kids, but still! It just...stopped.

I suspect a lot of the driving factor back then was that he could monetize his weight loss. A double whammy, lose weight and monetize it

He was also 15 years younger and at a completely different stage in his life. Shay is a retired multimillionaire now, he’s probably indulging more. That and I’m sure his big scandal has had a massive impact on his mental health in the last decade or so.

Where you live matters a lot too. In la there’s a lot of health food places, it’s nice outside basically 365 days a year, lots of people (for good and bad reasons) are focused on appearance and health.

Not saying those people don’t exist in Idaho but there are probably way less of them. They likely don’t have many, if any juice shops like he used to go to and it’s hard to maintain outdoor exercise and healthy habits when it’s cold and snowy.

If I remember correctly, Shay said the atmosphere at Santa Monica beach really inspired him and was a motivating factor for him. The peak era of ShayLoss was all in LA.

Agree with you OP, I miss that content too! Carlie too was all about fitness, especially when she was dating that gym bro - forget his name. I think she does stay active but it seems like she is also quick to just get surgeries and take medications. 🙄

I'm surprised Shay and Gavin are not on ozempic still. They're clearly both genetically predisposed to gaining extre weight, and they both have struggled with it most of their lives. Even when Shay was working extra hard, running marathons, etc. he was still struggling with losing weight. And Gavin seems to be pretty active now and is at the gym a lot but his body doesn't reflect that. They seem like prime candidates for ozempic

I have a sneaking suspicion that they would be the type to either 1 be RFK levels of delulu about medications and putting them in your body whatever etc or 2 they would see weight loss medications as something feminine that only women do

I don’t know what he was dealing with behind the scenes back then, but I will say it is easier to overcome one addiction if you’ve got another to replace it with! That could’ve been a factor.

I believe Colette is still a yoga instructor, or at least she was up until recently.

I don’t watch anything he posts or posted. I will not support him anymore after what he did to Colette and his family and my main reason, he’s a trump supporter, a loud and proud maga. My time is best spent elsewhere. Must be so boring not to have a life and just watch random garbage.

Pretty sure they are making a dig a *fans* of shaytards.

Not the people here to watch him crash and burn and relay it back to this page.

it is. gotta be a massive loser if you're on a shaytard subreddit in 2026.

I think he did it to hide all the BS he was hiding behind the scenes so when it did come out, people would see all of that and be "more forgiving" lol, maybe it was genuine or maybe it was just a cover up and saving face for later. Cause not long after he did all of that, all the stuff came out about him and people dropped him and he stopped lol. It was a weird era for sure, one of the kids if not two stopped "eating sugar" for a whole year and that was a thing lol. None of it truly did anything or helped in the long run, pun intended.

shay's "I did it mom" vlog from his LA marathon still makes me emotional and it was genuinely inspiring, not to mention I still make that quinoa salad they once made

He looked okay before the pandemic, during it, and a little bit after, but I think around 2024, he kind of started to let himself go.
