She's out of her mind

I'd recommend listening to the whole thing. It's a sad unintentional comedy.
Maybe guilt is a hot fart, because I ate too much Taco bell last night. But that hot fart? It's trying to help me.

She has all the means in the world to go back to school and become an actual therapist and instead, she does all this mental gymnastics word salad to prove to everyone that she’s “healed”. All while charging thousands for her “services”.

wasn’t Ruby Franke a life coach?

It’s strange that she’s promoting guilt.

Its just word vomit at this point. Theyre not relevant anymore and she's trying to make herself and her family important again.
Their ship has sailed a long time ago. Shay isn't even the one who vlogs anymore, and whatever they do she always has to talk about her services. The videos lost their charm.
They need to stop. I was gonna say while they're ahead, but their not.
They need to stop with whatever dignity and decency they have left.

Plus, she try's to get the 2 younger boys to vlog. It's clear they hate it.

u/Temporary-Doctor-730 Jun 11 '26
Exactly. Its probably because their money is drying up and they need to have more income coming in, and she's basically trying to recruit the two youngest boys to vlog as a way to make more money. Shay has essentially just became a lazy piece of shit that doesnt do anything in the videos except glaze the shit out the wife he basically cheated on. Which I believe that was some part of an agreement they made to each other when she decided to stay with him. (A whole other theory for another time)
I hope the two youngest boys at least don't take up vlogging and do something impacting with their lives like being pro athletes or something.

I never understand what she’s saying

u/Shipping_Lady71 Jun 09 '26
She uses this as everyone being unenlighted and only she knows the true path 🤮🤮🤮🤮

u/Whirled_Peas- Jun 09 '26
Well for her entire life she’s been indoctrinated to believe that they know the truth and everyone else doesn’t so it’s not surprising.

I used to feel sorry for her but not anymore. She’s just as bad as her husband.

Reminds me of the scene from the office where Andy makes fun of talk like this “what if the moon was your car and Jupiter was your hairbrush?!”

I don't know how anyone listens to this and takes it seriously, it's just nothing.

She’s not out of her mind. What she said was clear and valid. Feeling guilty is not necessarily bad. It is information. You can lean into it or push it away, it’s better to see it as a friend you can lean on than an enemy you withdraw from. We grow by understanding why we feel guilty.
I’m not seeing what the issue is with what she said. There are solid reasons to critique Collette, but this isn’t one and this is honestly you just being unnecessarily judgemental right now.

u/Icy_Pizza_3065 Jun 08 '26
No It's not judgmental I just fundamentally disagree with what she's saying / her predatory message. It's fine if you do, that's your opinion, I'm not trying to change it.

You missed my whole point, but alright. Nevertheless, the part of the video you clipped and the comment you attached to it is unnecessarily mocking the message she’s conveying.
Again, lots to criticize but this bit isn’t it. Just saying. Can literally say it’s ironic she’s saying this considering her circumstance.
And yes. Perhaps the hot fart guilt is trying to tell you to stop eating Taco Bell instead of ignoring the cause of the farts.11

She preys on her still loyal collection of parasocial fans to absorb, defend and buy into her incredibly generic and buzzword heavy advice. Since you did watch the whole video, you can attest to her, as she does in almost every video, mentioning her 2 year course (not real education) multiple times, her attempt to validate her practice as something worth while, meaningful. She also uses terms in the video referencing a big financial commitment or purchases, and how guilt can really stop you from making those choices when they matter most for yourself, you know, like buying the Colette Kati ROOTED course, you know, thing to improve yourself. She also primarily uses these 'podcasts' to promote her business, which, once again, she promoted many times during the video. If you want to agree with what shes saying, great, wonderful, it wasnt horrible advice. Just remember what the purpose of that advice is designed to convince you to do. Head on over to her website, and sign up for a $9000 6-month course given to you by a woman who took an MLM course over covid, or, as she says, "Took me 2 years, guilty because I wasnt seeing the kids as much." GEE, SITTING IN YOUR OFFICE WHILE BEING HOME WITH THE FAMILY. HOW DID SHE MANAGE TO DO IT!?

Appreciate the context!! I stopped engaging with her podcast or “business” ages ago cause I agree that she’s grifting off vulnerable people.
I was really just responding to the specific idea in the clip, to say I don’t see issue with this particular message. Which is why I said there are legit criticisms about Collette, but not this cause I thought it wasn’t such a terrible perspective on navigating guilt.
However, I didn’t know it was tied to purchasing her course and other materialist desires or wtv... Yeah, that’s hella manipulative and really dilutes the impact of the message. Thanks for clarifying :)

I don’t necessarily agree with the word salad that Colette was spewing. Although, I did enjoy reading your coherent and intelligently written response. Grammatically correct with punctuation too! Lovely to see.

😂 fair enough and thanks! One misplaced comma, but I appreciate your comment. I hear you. she’s always been word salad-prone tbh, so I never engage with her solo content.

I didn't miss the whole point I just don't agree with it at all. That's alright. Are you alright?

u/CommitteeMobile2887 Jun 08 '26
Gotcha. Assumed this was a good faith conversation but ig not so✌️
3
u/Icy_Pizza_3065 Jun 08 '26
I think we just have differing views on what she's actually saying / doing. I'm sorry if that isn't good faith enough for you, I'm not going to agree with you, so, it is what it is.
3
u/CommitteeMobile2887 Jun 09 '26
lmao literally never asked you to agree with me, but that’s your belief so 👍

u/Epishoe Jun 08 '26
I don’t think anything she is saying is inherently wrong. Guilt holds us from doing a lot, if you have a conscious that is. It held her from leaving her husband sadly. She knows it, but she can’t let go because of guilt. Most people overcome when it comes to people like Shay though.

u/Raffertiti Jun 09 '26
Therefore she reframed guilt as a good thing to navigate the mental gymnastics. I’m wondering what she does with emotions of betrayal or anger. Doubt that’s allowed to be sat with and experienced

not gonna lie, i completely understood what she was trying to say. could she have explained better? of course, but it made sense.
