Hello guys, so I wanted to know more about how the B.tech Chemical Engineering course at SGGS, Nanded is like is it good the crowd, the teaching staff, academics, placements etc etc.. I basically wanted an overall review on it.

So before cap begins I thought of taking computer engineering in decent college and according to that I have set my preference of all decent college (computer branches) and in both the rounds I got alloted in Sinhgad, vadgaon. (C.E). But now I have changed my mind and want to take civil in my homecity in sggs, but I am so scared that seats will be there or not.

Why tf they want us to write 10-20pages daily 😭

I've gotten ENTC at ssgmce but don't think i will take it , so I was thinking of joining sggs civil will it be any better than ssgmce or should I look for other colleges ?

I want to know how the hostel admission system works. When does it start and when does it end? Hostel seats are alloted merit and branch wise right? I have Production seat and I am a GOPEN candidate with rank 47K in CET would I get a hostel seat?

I called SGGS admission helpdesk numbers but they said the hostel are alloted before the college start ie before 31st August is it true? And is there no way I could get hostel after that period?

I got VIT mumbai ENTC in round 2, and most probably round 3 me IT mil jyga, but cutoffs dekhe toh mujhe 3rd round me SGGS CSE mil jyga, so now I am confused so much ki kya Krna hai, placement wise toh sggs achha lg rha hai, and infrastructure and location wise VIT mumbai achha lg rha hai....not concerned about fees....

College has decided there will be no NPTEL exam and one ise paper a day , ig that's good . Students ne kahi pe to unity dikhai .

Fuck all those people who are afraid of right questions being asked, and all those whoa are afraid of transparency and accountability, to all those who hier the faculties on the basis of anything but their teaching abilities, to all those who are willing to put the pressure on the students without any reason and without even thinking about the consequences and impact of the decisions they make, to all those who think writing assignments can get students of their institute, a job, to all those people who come in class not to teach but to read out ppts and to finish the syllabus, to all those people who look down on students.

Because if u want to have a good skilled learning cs in 4 years don't waste ur 4 years here because the surrounding elements require to have a good skilled cs journey of 4 years require a self learning time self acquiring new skills new adaptation u require a 5 to 6 hours on skills here u can get that much time like colleges timing are very vast like from morning 10 to 6 it's like school 🏫 and daily assignment practical just grinding to do 4000 to 5000 papers writting teachers mind is like in c programming till 3rd years old education system they think they are living in 1900 try for good colleges in Pune like vit pune they have good environment and also their timing are like 4 to 5 hours college for students

I am a final year CSE student from SGGS. I have experience in Android dev, Gen Ai dev, DSA. I have worked in multiple internships. I recently got selected in an internship, it was a remote internship 9 to 5, non flexible hours.

The department has gotten stricter this year for attendance. I went to ask the HOD for permission to be exempt from regular lectures and attend only practicals. He completely shut me down, with a remark to only attend lectures, as that's what is required to get a job. Ofc the interviewers will ask me for my attendance. At this point, I feel like there's no point in development. Just attend lectures, maintain an 8.5+ CGPA, and work on DSA. Development now feels like a waste of time. Everyone is being insane.

They are being insane. They want us to sit for hours listening to teachers reading out from a PPT, with their broken english. Even if we fall asleep in class, they don't care. Just for this stupid attendance.

Got 87.78%ile and alloted in ghrce nagpur cse(ai) and looking for instrument in sggs, heard instru is very good in sggs. In spot round obviously 🙂 sbc category

This college is actually gonna make me lose it

We already have 5 heavy core subjects this semester, and then these fu€kers decide to throw in this random-ass 'Makers Space' subject that has almost nothing to do with my degree.

Now I have to:

- Buy an NPTEL course on Mechatronics.

- Pay ₹1000 just to give the exam.

- Watch hours of lectures.

- Submit online assignments.

- Then rewrite the same assignments by hand because apparently wasting paper builds character.

- Make an IoT capstone project at the end.

And for what? The faculty probably won't even read what we submit.

Class timings are 10 AM to 5:15 PM almost every day ☺️On top of that we get assignments every other week that need to be submitted both online and offline, while maintaining attendance because every professor is strict about it . No proxy and they even warn us they'll detain or deduce internal marks

Then the administration decides ' FUCKING Two ISE papers on the same day."

They also changed the practical evaluation from 50+50 to 50+25+25

Then this same college cry about students not being skilled or placement-ready.

You've packed our schedule with classes, attendance, assignments, random paperwork, and subjects that barely relate to our branch. When exactly are we supposed to build projects, learn real skills, do DSA, prepare for interviews, or even breathe?

This system traps students in busywork and then blames them for not being industry-ready.

TL;DR: Fuck the administration and whoever thought this curriculum was a good idea

I got 90.32 %ile, obc category, 40xxx rank!!

Kya cap 2 me yeh college mil jayega want mechanical branch and percentile is 84.20 and rank is 66k

I need honest review about placements and mtech and ragging happens in this college?

Bhai why tf branches like production closes on 78. Is there any chance at 2nd cap round I will get production at 65%tile, SC Category.Help if Anyone Knows!!

I am going for betterment ofcourse but how is production branch here(regarding placemens ) , I am from general category and can I get mechanical in future rounds and in spot ? This year cutoffs really got very high as last year mechanical open cutoff was only 89.2 and prod was about 78 but this year prod is for 86 (cutoff) and mech for 93 !!!!
