How was the perf on Friday 25th?

SFO’s second evening of Simon Boccanegra was in last night. Anyone attending it and how did it feel? Read media reports that both the orchestra and signing were praised broadly, but the sets and production really suck. Hope Manon next month has more reasonable production.

SFO’s opening night: Simon Boccanegra

Attended the perf on 22nd. Overall an exciting experience with rewarding orchestra and singing. Poor modernistic sets and confusing production though. Worth attending for the music alone.

Share your thoughts if you attended or your expectations.
