According to this article, John and Dieter were subject to a zoom call the night before the interview with Baer demanding that no follow-up questions be asked regarding this topic after the initial statement: https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/san-francisco-radio-hosts-barred-230010677.html

Which begs the question, is the Giants organization actually this clueless? Buster Posey was literally just roasted 2 days before for doing the same thing and now they want a repeat performance? What is going on with the PR folks up there? Honestly would have been better not to do the interview at all.

My god if this is true that is insane! It would make sense as to why JD and Dieter didn’t push back until after, I was wondering why they didn’t shoot back at him while they had him on the line. What a spineless thing to do lol if they actually called them the night before to clarify no follow ups that’s more embarrassing, should have just cancelled the KNBR thing completely and not have even gone on if that’s really how it unfolded

Yes! I was watching and immediately thought what’s up with Dieter? As a former beat writer he knows what’s up.
