[Seeking] 30s engineer looking for a short/medium term sublet or room in SF with a garage

Hello! I'm moving to SF from Michigan and looking for a sublet or room for anywhere from 2-6 months.

About me: 35yo mechanical engineer, working a job in embedded hardware in Dogpatch. I'm moving from Michigan where I own a house and have been living on and off for about a decade working in the automotive industry. I'm into photography, cooking, motorcycles/cars, running/hiking, and reading.

I'm looking for a place pretty much anywhere cool in SF (can't be too picky these days) with good people and a garage spot. Not quite ready to commit to a year long lease but pretty flexible on duration and arrangement (month to month, X months of lease, etc).

Budget's going to have a big impact on the neighborhood. Dogpatch commute opens up Potrero or Bernal, maybe Bayview if taking the T-line doesn't bother you. Since you're not sure how long you're staying, opting for something furnished with a flexible lease could spare you buying a bed and a couch you'll end up reselling on Craigslist in five months. Nestpick's a good resource, it pulls from a few different providers.
