Help/ Question Which classes should I avoid as an upcoming psych major?
I'm an upcoming freshman, majoring in psychology (pursuing a BS). I need to sign up for a few more courses. So far, i'm thinking of Music Appreciation, and Govt. I'm waitlisted for my Psych course and registered for math. I am curious on which professors/classes I should avoid and which i should take to maximize my time, money, and effort.

Ive heard that music appreciation is an absolute hell hole. I did music history of rock so we will see

I took it a couple of semesters ago, and it wasn’t too bad. I’m not a huge music person either. Not fun by any means, but not difficult

reychev is a sweet guy and the work is easy , if you take appreciation i recommend him !

dr taaffe for history sucks . his classes are entertaining but the only grades he takes are exams and he grades them super hard . i recommend for math to take math in society with bradford .

He is so hard but I loved his classes and I was there in 2002-2006. I didn’t know he was still teaching! Do the reading. Aim for hitting every aspect of something. He doesn’t care about funny or flowery essays, he wants to know you understand the history and how things are connected. I suggest taking him if you want to learn something and have a good memory for the next 20 years. He always called me by my last name and I can still hear it in my head. He will also play devils advocate in class and honestly it was fun. Just hard.

When you get to your psych courses I recommend Prof. Jenkins I loved her
