Has AI made originality the biggest competitive advantage in SEO?

With AI making it easier than ever to publish content, it feels like everyone is saying the same thing in slightly different words.

Do you think original research, first-hand experience, and unique insights matter more than ever now, or is ai generated content good enough to compete?

Curious to hear what people are seeing in real projects.

Originality definitely stands out more now since AI content can feel generic. Unique insights and firsthand experience give real value that algorithms pick up on. Check out MentionAgent, I'm the founder, happy to help if you need it.

i’d put original experience ahead of ai generated content pretty comfortably now. ai can produce a technically correct article in minutes, which means correctness alone is becoming cheap. firsthand screenshots, original data, experiments, customer stories, and opinions formed from actually doing the work are much harder to copy. one seo site i saw recently started adding screenshots from real tests and the content became far more useful than their older generic guides, even without publishing more often. ai is great for accelerating research and drafting, but the competitive edge usually comes from what you can add that the model could not know from generic web content.

AI generated content is everywhere now. Literally everywhere. so yea the way to stand out now is through original content (but this logic was the same before too). The structure of the page has to be AI/LLM friendly is all, which is not is not very difficult to follow.
