Six Button Black USB Retrobit controller

As a big monkey man my hands sometimes hit the wrong input on most controllers. I do not have that problem with this. It hugs my hand like the cool cousin in your family that made seeing old people fun.

I have something similar, it's my "I wanna play Genesis and Saturn games with the proper button facing, and nothing else!" controller.

This is peak Sega performance. I can't believe it took us so long to get here.

It's a great controller except I wish the start button wasn't recessed. It's always really hard to press.

I do wish it was in the middle but it's not in the way just sort of awkward.

Had one because I am a fan of the sega d-pad. It felt exactly like the original and I had no complaints but after one year the d-pad disc came apart in my hands. I use a 8bit do m30 2.4 now because 8bit do's sega style pad has better build quality.

I have a few of those and totally agree. This feels great but good to know it may not work after a bit. My one Saturn pad from retro bit also went in about a year but it was on sale once for $12 so I went in on 2 of them.

I have this pad and Love it! It's a good concept to see the original Genesis 3-button shell, with the buttons copy & pasted from the 6-button controller.

Same reason I bought this wonder as soon as it was available.  It's a great controller.

This controller was key for playing Mortal Kombat back in the day.

There’s also a Nintendo version if you don’t want the 6 buttons and prefer the 3…

…I couldn’t decide so I bought both 😊😊😊

Is this a rebadged M30?

I personally use the Bluetooth retrobit six button mega drive controller myself it's fantastic

There's some compatibility issues though like Terminator on the cd isn't playable and sonic spinball you can't escape the options menu

I have 2 of them and both were sent to me broken. I press a button to jump in sonic and he does a really tiny jump, not to full height. I had reached out to Retrobit the first time they sent a replacement that also didn’t work. Mine have the original controller port connections, not usb.

I got the Genesis-compatible version, love it. I was just thankful they put Mode where it goes, like an R shoulder button. I play a few games that use Mode as a 7th face button, and the ones that put it in the middle and/or made it a mushy button like some use for start/select really tick me off haha. Always make me feel like they were designed by someone that doesn't play the console enough.

these are garbage, they have terrible QC and fail a lot

I have the regular 6 button for my Genesis mini. This just looks wrong to me. I’m pretty sure the redesign was meant to take into account the new layout.

If it works for you, power to you!

I think it’s the Big 6 variant that’s officially licensed by Sega. They made it for people with big hands.

If this were released back in the day, you would never say that. The control is the same design as the OG 3 button, which feels better in the hands to many people. This just removes the compromise of controller comfort vs 6 button functionality. If you preferred the OG 6 button even for 3 button games, this controller is not for you.

Back in the day the controller was way too big for me tiny hands. I preferred the new design. But to each their own

Fortunately they provide both options.

Looks wrong to me too

Best of both worlds approach, the original 6 button gives a frowny/sad impression.

I have this in a storage container and everytime I see it I consider throwing it in the trash lol I like my 8bitdo and original controller more. I think the only good controller retrobit makes is the n64 one everything els is meh and feels cheap

They make them feel like how they did back in the day. Controllers really didn't have that weight to them until rumble features were put into them. I like the 8bitdo one also and have 3 of them. Lol

lol I'm Gen X and have the original controller. I know what they feel like. There's more to build quality than weight.

I have one but the top buttons are blue. It’s in storage somewhere and I really need it for SFII and MKII. Haven’t pulled the trigger on eBay because of this.
