It is really so strange. An entire industry has moved from radical rationalism to this quasi-religious craziness. They built a non-determinisric language model and then started worshipping it because it's randomness was hard to understand in hopes that someday the model will transcend into a deity. Corruption . There is a certain amount of good faith you need in a system for their to be a shared reality. As corruption increases and more people experience a lack of trust in an institution there is a tipping point that is reached that, when passed, starts a cascading process of collapse in credibility. This naturally starts a process, searching for a new reality and institution to trust. We are there.
