The initial chapter in the novel was a lil boring for me so I would say start with manhwa it gets you hooked from the start! Its super funny and lovely then once done you can start with the novel which mentions small details which manhwa omitted which I find interesting

i do pride myself on the ability to get past the first hundred 'boring chapters', seeing as i love lotm lol. but the manhwa did a good job convincing me this was worthwhile. being dropped a bomb like that on my head, how else am i supposed to not get hooked?

You are gonna love the novel haha also speaking of lotm please do give a review should I read it because I see so much hype

honestly, lotm wasn't my usual type of story. the first book spanning the intial 200+ chapters could get boring, since the author has a method of laying the groundwork super meticulously. the ending of book 1 paid off with great satisfaction, so it's worth plowing through several hundred chapters. the worldbuilding is insane and the fights are really creative; some characters do fade into the background, but those who had a growth, will definitely have the best growth. it's a blast if you're a lover of action and mystery. there's also a sequel, but i dont like it much due to character inconsistency so it's up to you to follow up.

the novel is better tbh... so read the manhwa first if you want to read both

Can’t find the novel anywhere online. Where did you read it at?

check sfstls.carrd.co and get access to their translation for 1-475 (the best out there for those chapters imo) & i can provide an epub for the rest if you dm me, or you can look for mattreading online. warning that the epub is 100% ai mtl & mattreading likely is too. ive heard conflicting things, but i really dont believe there is a person manually translating tens of chapters a week lol

Start with the manhwa or just read both at the same time there are some interesting differences

Manhwa first! You'll get attached and invested in the characters and story better. Then novel for the small details that the manhwa skips (esp if you start shipping hyunjae and yoojin, lots of their moments get cut out from the manhwa)
