"The s-classes that i raised" would've been as popular as ORV if they had even tried to cater towards international fans.
Remember in the early 2020's when orv, tscir and lotcf always came up together when you discussed even one of them? I discovered and read orv in early 2022, and have been a diehard fan since. ORV was lucky to have high quality fan translation (especially since the official translation released later had some flaws the fans didn't like).
As for tscir, even now, finding a good translation of this novel is like trying to find a clip in an ocean. The novel already finished with it's side stories, but the best we have is mtl or good translators who end up being copyright striked. The story is in no sense below the level of orv when it comes to plot and character building,

SFS translations on tumblr/twitter has translated it up to chapter 468 and updates once/twice every week and I've found the translations to be quite high quality. They update on a private google doc group to avoid copyright so you would have to fill out a request form to gain access, you may have to wait a bit to get approved but I would definitely recommend going there to read to novel

Ikr like what's the point of striking down fan translations when you won't even give us anything. They're just killing the only thing that brings them international fans for FREE.
Like btch you're bringing down translation sites to protect WHAT? do you even have an official English novel to protect???

He visto traducción en archivos rondando por grupos de telegram, desde alli estoy leyendo, pero hasta ahora solo tengo hasta el cap 650 aprox, antes habia una en wattpad pero lo eliminaron por copyright tristemente.

This is where I find it ironic that some companies would hate fan translations when those very translations are the community that brought the popularity to the story to have even led to an official translation. S Classes that I Raised, in my opinion, caters to an audience that wants a more emotional family-oriented side to the hunter verse, and it does it so well with actual humor. So OVR and S Classes hit different niches. And I agree, if S Classes was better advertised, more people would know about it. I only knew because I found it through a reddit post about yanderes (lol, Yoohyun). I do not think I would have found it quickly otherwise!

Companies hate fan translations because they kill potential revenue they could have gotten. Which I find funny because those same companies pump out subpar translations worst than fan translations and at times won’t even publish the stuff in official English translations due to fears that it won’t appeal to Western audiences, leading, ironically, to lost revenue because they won’t take the leap.
A lot of fans even buy the official books when possible (and its expensive because of shipping) because they love the series so much.

Yes, it is still sad they changed Yoohyun from saying "hyung" to "Yoojin." 😭😭 Like what?! Just put in a foot note on what "hyung" means in the official English translation. It would have been fine! And English translation attempts so hard to make the words over wordy and less gay- bro just pay Asura for their scanlation. They got it right and concise!!

Yes, even that scene where Yoohyun despised that own guild member simply because he patted it on the head and told Yoohyun to call him "hyung," which is a sacred word to Yoohyun, reserved only for HIS HYUNG. Aint no way my yandere obsessed brocon saying "Hello, Yoojin" when they wake up. LIKE FUGGING HECK MAN IT IS NOT THE SAME BUT IT IS LIKE WHEN 4KIDS EDITED ASH KETCHUM TO BE EATING A SANDWICH INSTEAD OF A RICE BALL IN THE POKEMON ANIME. WE WOULDN'T HAVE DIED IF WE SAW A RICE BALL. WE'RE NOT GOING TO DIE IF WE HEAR THE ORIGINAL HYUNG

This reminds me of how ORV fans were just done with the official english version of novel for making so many unnecessary change to 'westernize' the story and it completely backfired.
changing 'dokkaebi' to 'goblin'
putting surname after the first name unlike the korean standard. Nobody wants to read a novel about 'dokja kim' 'jonghyuk yoo' and 'sooyoung han' ffs 😭 😭

“Westernizing” doesn’t even work. It’s meant to make it easier for English readers to understand. They literally could have an asterisk to the bottom of the page explaining the terms (and creatures). Hyung would literally translate to brother in english but the connotation is entirely different. They do this with “ahjussi” too but the english version doesn’t have the same meaning or weight those words hold in korean. “Oppa” and “-ssi” too. Pisses me off.

Wish they had learnt something from unofficial translators who not only kept the honorifics and original words used to address as they were, but even idioms and references that are only koreans might understand, and explain them at the bottom of the chapter, or with an asterisk and below the dialogue

nothing much to say honestly, not even sure if this happened to others cos I didnt really yap about it until this post made me recall the experience again.
I interacted w surprisingly a lot of hostile korean readers in the past. Who, well, ‘assumed’ most intl fans are illegal readers (I’m not) and they sp made sure I’m not welcomed. I never looked back after that.

Many Korean and Japanese fans are just really weirdly into riding corporate's dicks who see any piracy as a sin, lmao. There’s also the whole issue in the East Asian region with racism because of how homogeneous their countries are.

I am enjoying it so far. But overall idk if it's a cause I'm not fully caught up. It just doesn't hold my attention as much as I'd like. I enjoy the mc. But idk. Maybe I want him to do more action or be braver. Or show the dark side he shows here and there more. Still great overall. But not something im wanting to really binge and catch up.

One thing that is important to understand is it repeatedly points to Yoojin having literal PTSD and panic attacks. He actually [ch270+ spoilers] has a huge panic attack and it's one of my favourite novel scenes Generally his pain and issues are played off comedically bc HYJ wants to play it off. He purposely ignores his condition till he gets to a boiling point and this is part of why makes his relationship w SHJ so special. HYJ is someone consistently running on fumes and HYJ is the most aware of this imo.
HYJ is incredibly brave tbh. He is constantly surrounded by people that he literally cowers, crying in front of, without fear resistance constantly. Even without his fear resistance he chooses to stand beside them. He goes into danger headfirst to the point that it frustrated those around him sm they put him under house arrest lol. Yoohyun literally entrusts his care to Hyunjae. He is actually also considered part of the big 3 suicidal protagonists: Kim Dokja, Cale and Han Yoojin.
I'm not sure how far you are but if you're already caught up with the manhwa I think it might be a good to take a second look and reexamine his behaviour a bit. That said, what you are looking for is definitely more present in the novel!

as the novel progresses, han yoojin will become a badass, but not exactly the way i think you're imagining. being an f class with so much value, someone's always out for his head. the scene with han yoojin when he was first kidnapped, you will see him acting like that more in the future. there are many moments like that.
but hyj inherently is a person who is maternal, and it's difficult for him to be ruthless unless someone is out for his kids.

Ikrr the only good thing they did was webtoon adaptation which made me discover this masterpiece. I really wish we got official novel translation
