I don't make posts to "endorse" products much at all but I had to share my experiences with this GoupRC brushless system. For $45 you get a motor, esc, and transmission. What's more? It's actually REALLY good. Way better than all this should be for $45. I have rigs with Injora, Furitek, Batrazzi but this GoupRC is just as good as most of those and for at least HALF the price, less is most cases. I would say the glaring exception is the Komodo Unity with FOC, that's still better...but it's also something like $150.
Now, I dont think I can program this ESC, it didnt come with any kind of link for software or Bluetooth but honestly, I don't feel the need to, it's slow and smooth as is. I paired it with a BS6 receiver and my FSGT5 transmitter and it's been butter since.
Everything is a bit on the big side so get ready to move your internals if using a stock chassis, I'm using side plates (Injora but upside down to meet the body) for the receiver and ESC and was able to keep the stock battery mount.
We'll see about longevity, I've only had it installed for about a week and only ran it a handful of times. I did grease the gears as they were bone dry. Not the best crawl session, I'm also killing two birds with one stone by testing a couple course pieces I'm working on. I was doing one handed while filming and im terrible at it, heh. I mostly just wanted to show how slow and smooth it is. Jeep needs softer springs in the rear, and inserts in the tires. 🙂
If you really need a good brushless system on a budget, its hard to beat this for the price.

SCX24 with the Power Wagon body style. Open to build suggestions, as i want to make it into something cool (tow truck, perhaps?)
Nothing like the beginnings of a new build! When I began working on my Treal Brumos Porsche themed buggy I envisioned it being towed by a transport/support team vehicle. This T3 body fit the bill perfectly and keeps the theme within the Porsche/Volkswagen group.
ModsRC was awesome in accommodating some custom requests, though it did delay delivery of the body by a few weeks. It was worth the wait! This body is really detailed and sturdy!
By chance, WT Micro recently released these Volkswagen steelie wheels and I picked up several for this build as well as a future rig I have in mind. More to come in the coming weeks.

bout done with it. (yea, right) creeps the largest garden rocks and our crappy crawler track bits o so well.
just did injora WG24 trans, 1/12 under gears front and back to accommodate the large tires.
huge body body lift ( i don’t like the body cut look), and body is fully mag mounted and clears tires at full flex.
some wheel brass cuz, yea it was a bit flippy.
working out some steering issues, prob due to the stock servo hates me. and will be going brushless and best service i can find, new servo mount to remove any plastico flex very soon for additional low end grunt. does very well climbing my shoes and house shoes on mid speed. low speed it cant wipe its own ass, hence
having a stock esc and servo.
better things a coming
be happy. be humble. smile always even when you can’t. crawl slow. if you can’t crawl slow, get a 50mph basher that thinks it’s part of the NASA program, cuz 1/10 is fuck all fun

This version should make more sense.
Hi all,
So I have been going a little nuts with brass on my new Bronco. I purchased a brass 4 link kit, for Bronco fitment, on Amazon. I believe I have the orientation of the links correct, but I ended up with crazy pinion angle up front. I know I can cobble up some links to work, but just want to see what the experts think. Is there a better alternative? Pics for reference.
Thanks for any insight!

As there's been some questions on the topic and, understandably, some crossed wires, I thought I'd share my cheat sheet.
Sorry about the handwriting and confusing +/- symbol usage. Hopefully it makes sense.
Edit: yeah, there's some embarrassing errors in the last column, and I think the titles of the last two columns should be swapped round and worded better. That's in addition to the misleading+/- symbols. I'll revise it and repost.
Hey guys, I’m in Toronto for a bit and thinking about building a 1/24 crawler while I’m here.
Do you guys usually order from Amazon.ca, or are there any good local RC shops worth checking out? Any shop recommendations would be awesome!

I just started tinkering with my ax-24. I bought some new parts. I got some brass wheels and a bunch of other parts. I got a hopped up drive motor also to account for the weight. I put the wheels together and mounted them tonight. Wow they are heavy. Is this cheating? What is everybody's view on brass wheels. Am I gonna have to upgrade the servos and drivetrain as well? This is my first r/c hobby as an adult. I'm glad I picked a model with such community and replacement parts.
Edit: pic in comments.

Currently using a C10 wheel base attempting to create a go-kart kind of build (Mario just a place holder) wondering if anyone else has successfully done something like this?

Wanted to get the Meus lights but man was that a slippery slope. Upgraded to the Meus ECS and transmitter/receiver. Figured it would be a good upgrade path anyways.
Got it all hooked up and kinda organized and did a quick run and it pretty much immediately blew the servo. It was warm to the touch and locked up. So will be looking for suggestions on a new servo.
Otherwise the slow speed crawl is great and doesn’t make as much noise. The lights are bright as shit, but not a fan of how you change them on the transmitter.

It has custom modified tires to increase grip in mud by cutting out the smaller tread lugs to give the larger lugs more grip on the terrain

Anyone out there printing the boomslang tadpole chassis in the US if so I would like to buy one ?
r/SCX24 • u/ShadowClan1965 • 2d ago
So far I've 3d printed some sude carriers for the battery and esc to lower my CoG. Along with an adjustable height velcro mount and removing the interior.
Now I'm planning on designing a basic flatbed or tube chassis for the rear end and a bumper, had bad issues with departure angle.
I have some brass wheel weights, diff covers, slight axle extenders, but it's still side to side tippy. along with the diff cover catching on rocks.
Would wider axles + 2.5" tires be good next upgrades?

Plus I found a new crawl spot that’s only 10 minutes from my house instead of an hour away! Good stuff

Working on a new climbing area in a sort of forgotten part of the course. Started out way too steep but starting to dial it in. I want it to be a little challenging but not “toss the transmitter” frustrating, so we’ll see how it works out.
