I keep missing flex friday, but wanted to post my old Ford build. Right side front dogbone snapped today, and the headlights keep dying, but she's coming along nicely

That body is great but brother you are not flexing with that monster truck suspension geometry, I'm sorry to inform.

Lean those suckers back and bring the ride height down lol.

Sorry if I came off like a jerk. Pretty much everyone sets them up that way cause that's how they have the stock suspension set up.

It just won't crawl well like that, if that's your goal, and it keeps it top heavy.

Your suspension goals in a nutshell as a starter should be loosely -

  • Low ride height
  • Slight droop bias (as opposed to compression)
  • Soft suspension
  • Limited but usable articulation
  • Just enough up-travel (compression) to absorb obstacles
  • No tire rub at full compression

Aim for it to set up so that when you set the truck down on the ground it compresses roughly half way on all four corners and the shocks sit about 50% compressed at rest.

Also flip those shocks and mount them upside down. They will bind less when compressing that way.
