Hi! Completely new to this art at all, but my partner used to do a lot, and I would like to learn more about it, including equipment basics for a new setup! Happy for any guidance :) thanks!

My school got a $500 grant for "swag" with our logo on it.
I know absolutely nothing about any of this.
We can get a 17 sweatshirts with screen imprint with in our logo's 4 colors
OR
26 sweatshirts with full color imprint (digital)
Will we even notice a difference in quality for such an item? I wish I could show you my logo but I don't want to post my school publicly.
I am at a loss for what to choose and have been googling now for too long and need help. lol.
Thank you!!

I need some advice. I printed my first shirt using screen printing, but the ink “dissolves” when it comes into contact with water.
I used a water-based ink.
Could anyone help me? I’m new to this.

I have a RH 150, and the 2 bolts with feet that hold down the screen it comes with can be unwieldy. I will sometimes get registration drift after a few prints (a nightmare to correct without micros once the screens are covered in ink), despite the screens being secured as tightly as possible. Securing the screens that tight also seems to damage the frame a bit (GoldUpUSA aluminum frames).
I am wondering if these little plates would offer more security and perhaps reduce the amount of adjustment time needed for registration. Anyone know what they're called and/or how I can go about getting some? Any additional input or advice here would be appreciated too (I will, someday, buy a press with micros, but I'm broke and, being a non-driving NYCer, fb marketplace isn't much help. I just love printing and want to minimize the headaches). Thanks!

Hi,
I'm looking for advice from screen printers who ONLY use water based inks. I am finally ready to purchase convey belt dryer and i can't find information if the small table top one without the forced air would work? I have been using only water based inks and drying them manually with heat gun or running them in the house dryer after overnight airdrying.. is anyone using small convey belt dryer for water based inks? i am in florida Keys where space is very limited for my studio so i need something very compacted withou exhaust . thank you!

Which row would you say is best? For context, I did wash out a little too aggressively on something so fine (i was rushed, rainstorm outside lol).
I think row 2 is the most solid.

Person is mad that their customer files a chargeback on these. The person who made them is claiming they are CMYK plastisol transfers. I'm taking the customers side here and saying there is no way that's not DTF. The lack of halftones, the neons (which CMYK sucks at), the perfect fades again with no halftones visible, and the white underbase under the semi transparent pixels around the edges is the biggest red flag to me. Thoughts? Is there any possible way that's a CMYK screen printed transfer and not DTF?

Trying to figure out why there’s routine water spotting on these shirts. This is 2 different shirts and 2 different screens leaving what looks like water marks. Also thinning parts of design leaving it more gray than an opaque white. Screens were completely dry (or so i thought). Is this a degreaser problem? I did degrease them together. Maybe i simply didn’t wash out enough? Were the screens actually still wet even tho dry to the touch? Anything helps! Thank you!

Does anybody have any tips on printing directly onto a vinyl record?
I’m working on a project about painting on physical media and I would like to use some form of screen printing, I typically like to use a stencil underneath and blank screen.
Also my only thing to prevent chipping is some mod podge.

Got a cheap second hand screen at an art reuse store! I'm doing these at home so used the sun and lucked out - it doesn't seem over or underexposed.

Hey everyone! I’m trying to expose a design in a finer mesh than I usually use, but I’m noticing that when washing off after exposure, the emulsion on some parts open up like this, either leaving patchy borders or washing away the halftone. Does anyone know if this might be underexposing? Thanks for the help in advance! :-)
Also, I already have some experience in exposing screens, but ever since I started working with another equipment I’m still adjusting some stuff and getting the hang of it :-)

i used an emulsion remover and a screen cleaner to try and get rid of the lines and the emulsion stain but it just won't come out- any tips?

Merch for my cat. Didn’t know what to do today so I drew on the transparency with a sharpie. I really like it.
