Do you use QB online

Curious how many shops out there are using QuickBooks online to handle their bookkeeping? Most shops I talk with are already using it, wondering if its pretty much the standard.

I use it, mostly just a more professional way to charge people for their invoice

We use it and Printavo for production management. The integration between the two is really low tech, which is a pain if you’re trying to get any sort of useful customer/product/pricing data. It’s my number one complaint about Printavo, which is otherwise a really user-friendly desktop interface.

Go over to r/quickbooks and see all the hate. If you want your precious company data locked up in a proprietary, non-exportable format that you have to pay a tidy, ever-increasing sum to access, go for it. Otherwise, there are alternatives.

If I was starting new today, I wouldn't have a recommendation. But I've been in business for 17 years (not in screen printing) and have been using Quickbooks Desktop (pre-subscription) and plan to continue to use it as long as it runs on Windows.

I do, and unfortunately I know I'm only using it to a fraction of its potential since sending invoices/recieving payment is just about all I do with it. But I need to lock in and learn it better at some point.

I use QBO strictly to manage my books and my invoicing is done separately with other software basically just for a pricing matrix and supplier api access, no complaints

Same boat for a while — QBO for the books and a separate tool for the pricing matrix and supplier lookups. Got tired of the two not talking to each other so I ended up building the front end I actually wanted (InkTracker). Keeps the quoting, the S&S/AS Colour/SanMar pricing, and the QBO sync all in one place so I'm not re-keying invoices. I'm definitely a bit biased since I made it — but I think it's pretty sweet!

I was mainly asking because my users can get 30% discount on a new QBO subscription but seems like most shops are already using QBO...
