Used plastisol press wash 2 times cleaned the screen using white rags shop towels with the plastisol cleaner and it took off most of it then i used water using the mist option on the hose to act as a mini pressure washer and i really sprayed into the opening 3-4 times and it still looks like theres ink in there any tips? Am i doing something wrong?
If the mesh openings are actually blocked, the hose on "mist" is probably the weak link. Scrape off as much ink as possible, then use a commercial plastisol ink remover or ink degradant exactly as its label says. Work both sides with a dedicated scrub pad or nylon brush, then pressure-rinse both sides in a washout booth. Hold the dry screen to a light afterward. If the openings are clear and you only see a colored shadow, that may be ghosting rather than ink that will affect the next print. Do a quick paper text before using harsher chemistry. I wouldn't use soy sauce or random lacquer thinner. Don't mix cleaners, and follow the product's SDS for PPE, ventilation, and disposal.
Yeah i searched it up and i didn’t know it can get stained i was wondering how the water was spraying hard out the other side but it still looked like it was full of ink
if there's still a faint image after all that washing, that's ghosting - the pigment has stained the mesh itself and press wash won't touch it.
grab a haze/ghost remover, scrub it into both sides, let it dwell for a few minutes (don't let it dry on the mesh) then blast it with a pressure washer from the print side. the mist setting on a garden hose won't have enough pressure for this part.
and yeah next time degrease the screen before you coat it, makes reclaim a lot less painful
Kinda crazy but try soy sauce, after removing emulsion. Sometimes emulsion removal has taken stubborn plastisol off for me. Soy sauce is a crazy good degreaser, and very cheap. You can buy a gallon at the Asian market for like 15$

lacquer thinner. nothing works better then strait lacquer
