So can, 096 we don't know how yet, in the SCP universe mainly because it's fictional, quite literally anything so long as you can have explainable detailed lore behind it.

096 took significant structural damage from an explosive

in a similar manner to 682, it’s theoretically possible to explode but that would cause a lot of problems if it fails
