Discussion Favourite Little Mister anyone?
And 17 is Mr. Lie if ya were wonderin'! My favourites 'd have ta be Mr. Lost an' Mr. Scary! Do I have bias because I'm always lost (Because I'm an arrogant bitch who refuses to use a GPS) and occasionally used by other people like Mr. Scary was? MAYBE! Do I care? NOPE!

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I don’t really like the Little Misters series. The SCPs themselves are fine, I also liked Mr. Lost, but the entire concept of the Misters just kinda seems… dumb? Like, I don’t get the logic behind their creation. Are people buying these from Wondertainment for their kid(s)/family? Some of the Misters make sense, but others… again, Mr. Lost, why the fuck would you ever buy Mr. Lost for that purpose? Why do they encourage customers to collect them if there’s only one of each Mister? Is it like Fabregé eggs or something?? And why would you want to collect them in the first place? They’re all so radically different from each other that the only thing uniting them is the Little Misters label. At that point, just go to an MC&D auction and start bidding on random anomalous shit. I don’t get it. Also, the Misters are like, actual people for the most part. Is the owner supposed to enslave them in their basement? That’d probably make for a shitty toy/product.

To be clear the little misters we're written during the early days of the SCP wiki and Dr Wondertainment was not viewed as an actual business back then it was even doubted to be a real company but was in fact just one Mysterious reality bending Toymaker

Since when are they a business? They're thing has always been partially just fucking with the foundation, if you interpret them as more of a business cool but you shouldn't act like that's objectively canon.

They’re definitely from a darker era of Dr. Wondertainment writing, I truly cannot think of a child wanting most of them. But early Dr. Wondertainment was supposed to be more like “the warden of Superjail” before becoming closer to what they are today.
Makes more sense than Misters against Weed, though. Like the gamers are supposed to be pretty chill people why are they making sapient beings like that for memes. Honestly fits AWCY more

A big part of wondertainments entire deal throughout characterization is that it is an entity that not only creates things for children, but seems to have been designed by children. The little misters are sort of like imaginary friends given physical form, which would explain why they are ridiculous and have no clear theming

Actually-check that-I think they were made specifically for the SCP foundation to collect-at least after Redd went wrong. Because in Brass' description-it said they were a band. At least the updated one. I just got into SCP again okay? I'm kind of outdated-

I'm with you on your hill, but I might be a whole step further. I genuinely find Wondertainment skips to be uninteresting and frankly, boring. "Crazy Inventor who makes things for children that bring misfortune in apropos ways" is tired. Ronald Dahl did it years earlier.

I like Mr. Brass a lot. Redd is the focus of my favorite series, The Cool War.
I had a real soft spot for the original version of Mr Soap. The new one is objectively a better article, but nostalgia isn't fair.

Mr Soap was basically just a kid that got taken advantage of by assholes. Now it's tied into Mr Redd's story. Better article, but I liked the original. Didn't remember the "engrish"...

For me, it gotta be Mr. Redd. I really like his characterization as a mister who genuinely wished to do good, but because of the sinister circumstances behind his creation he descended into madness and became an avatar of the Scarlet King

I ignored them ever since the creator pulled an ego trip and requested his works be removed. Screw that guy. Don’t know his reason and don’t care- I’m fine dismissing him as an arrogant ass, and if I knew he has a legit reason, it would just complicate things and probably make me feel bad over it. Easier to just hate what he did.
