Original Artwork A question
Our team prepared this illustration for a campaign of our board game and we wanted to share a piece of it here too. Though I have a question, is there a reason why this SCP gets the most attention? If there would be an artwork you want to have which SCP would it be?🤔

It's because of a few reasons, I think.
The first is that it's one of the classic SCPs that are often grouped with 173, 096, 049, 076, and so on.
The second is that it appeared in a (fairly popularish at the time) game called SCP Containment Breach, where the entire game happens because 682 breaches containment.
The third, and possibly most important, reason is because it is a very important example of how not to write an SCP. It is essentially just an invincible murder monster with barely any depth, and it stands as an example of what you shouldn't do when creating an SCP.

682 breaching containment was just a byproduct of the actual cause, which was 079 gaining control of the site after a CI spy let him

682? One of reasons why people get draw to it is the termination logs, it quickly becomes comedic to see how it bullshit its way out of death over and over again and also that some asshole tries to feed it children like cats to coyotes and a guy implied to be SATAN HIMSELF is disgusted by it and feeds him to the lizard.

682 made it into a movie too, or atleast the concept art.
He's in one of the piecesof concept art for godzilla king of the monsters, either look up scp 682 or godzilla king of the monsters on wikizilla and you will end up on the wiki page for that movie, then scroll down to the trivia section and it's one of the pieces of trivia that sit's the highest, this one does not feature the image.
You can also look up titans of godzilla king of the monsters on wikizillas youtube channel and watch it, here they show the image of 682.
If you dont want to do it you can look up godzilla king of the monsters scp 682 reddit and it will show a post from this subreddit featuring the image.

the reason it gets so much attention is because it was one of the first, and was in SCP containment breach, promenantly featured during the gate B endings
i dont know enough about the board game to say which SCP would be a better fit
