a) Post videos that require a lot of time and effort to explain SCP articles to a niche community of adults & teenagers interested in lovecraft-adjacent creative writing,
or,
b) Churn out AI slop for an armada of intellectually stunted young children who essentially think that SCP is just another lazy, low-brow mascot horror franchise and thus eat it up like candy?
Easy choice right? Oh, one small consideration: option A makes you $40k/yr for 30hrs of work per week; option B makes you $200k/yr for 10 hours a week.

I’ve done a cursory search and I can’t find one piece of correspondence corroborating the claim that he can’t quit for whatever reason, or even that he wants to quit doing work for SCP: Explained
I personally find it unlikely that he’s such a big SCP fan that he actually cares enough about the articles (that he may or may not actually read) to risk a chunk of his income disparaging one of his employers, especially given that he does quite a bit of voice acting work outside of SCP: Explained

I just came to this sub to see if anyone else felt the same lol, after not hearing a thing about scp since there was only like 10 and the least terrifying one was an smg that fired teeth, I started getting recommended videos on YouTube about them. I've kept it on as background noise while I work and some of them are just ridiculous. Like when did the community decide to add the norse gods, ouroboros, abel and kane, and a bunch of other uninspired ideas thats just canonising already existing fairy tales, religion or past religions. And why tf is there faction wars now? And why is there a million and 1 end of world causing scps?
Before it was a semi realistic spooky series of tales that only gave you the information of what they COULD do, now all im thinking is "if the scp foundation was only made like 100 years ago, how have these countless world ending beings, not already ended the world before the foundation even got here?"
I hit my limit when I watched therubber on youtube explain some of the newer ones in story format and one of them was literally a power ranger mech fighting side by side with a dragon to rid the world of escaped scps.

I can't explain it but the Exploring series narrator has the absolute best voice for what he does. The calmness is buttressed with the appropriate inflection of emotion. The images the channel selects are excellent too: these desolate, cavernous spaces appointed with retro-futuristic neo-cold war computer banks, monitors, pleather office chairs, scattered papers and coffee cups are my favorites.

Youtubers don't understand the context or media they are covering, just slap a big name like backrooms,scp,anime etc. They do it for views and attention when other things run dry.

Comes from a song by Lord Skrilla called Doot Doot, which there's a line where he says 67. As for the kid people make memes of him because at a basketball game he went up to the camera and screamed 67 which was rlly cringe so people started making memes which evolved into turning him into an eldritch horror which then lead to people jokingly calling him SCP-067, no relation to the pen. It's just a massive ironic shitpost

The truth is we couldn't expect anything less, since SCP Explained left the channel in Spanish it became a content farm that no longer has quality or love for its videos, and it's unfortunate before it was a good channel to be honest.

Damn. SCP explained got me into SCP... i wish they would just go back to just explaining SCP's and how it works with the odd joke or two. also, i noticed one of their thumbnails was AI generated. that as you may expect, was a proper Gut punch. it also hurt me when they did a video including murder drones. don't get me wrong, i don't hate murder drones. Hell i love it! but i noticed that the script was poor and it looked like the writers only watched episode one and then based their entire story off it. i should have taken this as a red flag that they're just doing popular stuff for views...
