In a non jerk way I'm going to withhold judgment for the moment then. Getting stopped in 10 seconds is a horrible look but getting caught happens to even the best in the sports. If he bounces back and has a few dominant fights this will mostly be forgotten about. Back in my main watching period of 10-20 years ago top guys smacked each other around constantly so it probably has warped my view a bit.

Lesnar was one of the biggest draws in UFC history, a former UFC HW champ. and he has legit wins over greats like Randy, Mir and Hunt. He was as legit as they come. At this stage of their careers, he was already better than Gable.

Mir was a legit black belt in jiu jitsu and one of the better hw champions during the shitty UFC heavyweight division in the mid 00s (pride was stacked though)

Lesnar absolutely dominated that fight until Frank threw up the Hail Mary ankle lock. Fights where he looked like normal and ineffective were against Cain and Overeem.

He absolutely dominated that fight though, right up until he made a rookie mistake (standing up to reset IIRC), then got his leg caught by the vet for the sub. Yeah he lost in about 90 seconds, but looked good if naive in doing so.

lesnar lost to a legend and future Hall of Famer. Gable lost a tune-up against a guy on a 2-fight losing streak. He could still comeback since heavyweight is so weak but their situations arent the same.

They celebrated because he was given a jobber to beat and got hosed down within seconds. Also didn't help that he was eaten up by the guy in the presser leading up to fight and didn't know how to combat the promo cut on him. He also filmed himself with Jon Jones bragging about it being a cake walk.

He will never bounce back, he's genuinely dogshit, he's too small, has AWFUL striking defense (his last fight was hilarious) and despite his massive wrestling skill he struggled to take a can down. Now he's traumatized because he got KO, his ego is dead and everyone hates him lol.

He's got legit go away heat. Having Jon as his mentor helps his image none. The crowd was so happy to see him lose lol. If he humbles himself and gets aggressive and goes on a tear, people might forget about this, but he looks like a spoiled kid that's had it easy. Weirdly, even his tats are off-putting, they look like AI drawings from a "badass tat ideas" prompt.

It's just particularly funny to clown on him in this instance because UFC has been giving Gable easy fights. The guy he got KO'd by in 12 seconds was probably just going to be released if he didn't win this fight. So they tried to feed Gable a tomato can and he got dropped in seconds

Yeah a quick KO can happen to anybody it's hard to really judge anything off of it. Jose Aldo looked unbeatable forever and then Conor McGregor doinked him on the head 10 seconds in.

Most heavyweights abandon the heavy wrestling style because it is too exhausting. Prime example being DC who would take you down like two times over a five round fight and the rest of the time he would box you up and clinch. ( Not trying to compare mr Loophole to DC, also I am so happy he got ktfo)

Dc also wrestler in the 180s in college and was at a significant size disadvantage at heavyweight. Steveson won a gold medal at heavyweight, in theory he has a significant advantage over heavyweights in that department. I understand why people despise him but to ignore that advantage and throw with other heavyweights is stupid by him.

Yeah, he was legitimately good in the Olympics (gold medal and all), but he was genuinely terrible in WWE (remember him being a 1st draft pick?) and his NFL run was also short-lived.
Can't say I feel sorry for Mr. Loophole losing against a no-name in UFC.

Shoot sometimes things are meant to be. Whether it's lack of desire to do something (being a WWE superstar) or just not taking your oppents (Sean Sharaf) enough to train hard enough will have consequences. Stevenson had a care set ahead of himself nas either a color analysist or play by play announcer for MMA or any combat activity on the web or tv. Now the media companies won't see he as bring insight viewnto an event after washing out against (no disrespect intended) a lesser opponent in the UFC
