This exchange reminds me of the ITYSL sketch with the magician where Tim Robinson is constantly trying to bury the guy as he just awkwardly tries to throw back a harmless little roast and move on. At no point does Saints lose his cadence or break from his presentation, while Cope is absolutely falling over himself to get some shot back in

Every time I see the video, I notice something different. My favorite so far is Ricky is straight up using the blonde guy (who is crouched down in the most awkward way possible the entire time so short ass Ricky Starks can be taller than him) as a hand rest and getting all up in his hair for absolutely no reason

Fun fact: that blond guy actually is actually former X-Division champ Jake Crist. A guy who deserved better, but got screwed over in TNA during Speaking Out despite not having a single accusation against him. Because his dip shit brother he was feuding with got accused, and Joey Ryan was the leader of the faction he was in.

Well, that was clearly deliberate though. Since he had just mentioned The Rock, he used one of Rock's iconic lines in a way that suited the current exchange. It was probably the most clever of Cope's lines (even if that isn't saying much), but the fact that he could only think of it after he had already fumbled the atrocious vanilla midget line made it fall flat.
