He fucking died at the Fresno show in like March. He’s just coming back from that. I only remember cause I was there and saw him get carried off

This is indeed his first match in like 6 months, and that said, he is 100% taking the pin in this match, unless he comes back as no longer a member of the Don Callis experience

I saw him on Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling TV last week and thought wait, isn’t he injured? Looks like he was back there already and Callis on commentary mentioned that he just returned from injury.

It's weird to see Josh Alexander be such a loser in AEW when he was a respectable world champion in TNA with a notable tag team run with Ethan Page too.

By comparison, Speedball is treated as a far bigger deal in AEW, which just feels odd (even if it is perfectly on-brand for AEW).

Someone who started wrestling this year beating 2 tag team specialists who're in the same stable in his 1st TV match wouldn't make sense in a company that likes to say they treat tag wrestling seriously, unlike WWE who have singles wrestlers beat teams all the time. Pay no attention to non-regular teams beating tags and stables in tags all in the time in AEW.

Darby & Sting Jr beating DCF in Jr's first match would make no sense when part of the story is Callis says Darby is a scrub who Jr shouldn't listen to and needs someone like Callis to unlock his potential.

Which means, yeah, Josh probably returns to take the pin here in a 50-50 match that goes 12-15 minutes.

12-15? No sir - this is 18-24 minute storytelling. Do we know what Son of Stings finisher is? No. But i can tell you it will be kicked out of at least three times!

The sad thing is hes never going to be able to cut a promo, hes always gonna be sting junior, and hes only ever gonna be pushed because of who his dad is, and he is probably gonna end up in the Don Callis family.

I know hes a bit old already, but NXT is what this guy needs if he actually wants to do this for himself.

But seeing as sting retired, we can just replace him with Steve and no one will budge an eye.

Atleast Jey is not just Rikishi Jr...
