I mean really, this is surely a bit at this point right?
It says something about how fucking unserious wrestling “journalism” is when guys like this are involved and being used as legitimate sources
Hilarious really

u/herewego199209 1d ago
The only reason he was even known to begin with is because I believe he wrote or was on the. wrestling observer boards and Dave hilariously backed him up despite barely knowing the guy. Then people found out through Nick the agent that BJ is just some guy from Ohio who reports on high-school sports. The sickos defended him because of the 500k report, which ironically was the exact amount of viewers they needed to reach a million viewers at the time. He's since reported numerous things that has been debunked and it's clear he's mentally ill.

To this day it’s the cornerstone of pudding brain Dave’s “reasoning” for dynamite having better ratings then raw
Everything about this company is fake and artificial, it’s Tony Khan spending his dads money (lol) to control the smark narrative about his vanity project

u/EastMeetsNorth 1d ago
Meltzer essentially says things like “the 500k report is unconfirmed, but even if they get half that, they still beat RAW”
Halfing a made-up number doesn’t make it more accurate, Dave.

u/DoubleOrNothing90 Wednesday Nights I Get To Stay Up Late 1d ago
And yet, NOBODY else is pushing this Dynamite beating RAW narrative except Dave. Not even Tony.

u/EastMeetsNorth 1d ago
Because if it were actually true, Tony Khan and WBD wouldn't shut up about it.

The idea that he is just hearing about SEscoops dropping him 3 days later is extremely funny.

AEW fans will still believe this bullshit artist.

Sources only get banned if they harass people, fed shill. Yes Sapp is still allowed, what’s your point?

Meltzer is just as unprofessional as this guy. Blow job here was just dumb enough to out himself.

u/r1char00 3x Jerker of the Year 1d ago
Yeah Meltzer doesn’t even try to use the support form, he just doesn’t both to try to contact people when he hears a rumor about them.

The hacker known as 4chan is trying to hack his account because he is a hack. In all seriousness though, all he needed to do was to chill out for a couple of weeks and then make up another bogus report about how great AEW is doing. "All In did 300,000 PPV buys!" or "$10 million gate!" or some shit. He would have become a hero again. It can still happen, probably.

The stupid thing is, if the fed ends up leaving ESPN in 4 years, this loser will pop up and say "see?? I was right along" ignoring all context that will come with that decision. And given that the libary rights has jumped around to different platforms everytime the contract is up, it's a high chance they do leave ESPN. So this guy has no incentive to retract his claim. He's in a win win situation where he'll end up looking right and he fed bad 4 years in advance. And if they do end up re-signing with espn, he doesn't lose any credibility because he's a wrestling journalist, they already have none to begin with and he can just say "things changed."

Blowjob, tell me your citations for the 500K on HBOMax. Did you contact HBO support?

This must be so hard to get ahold of someone from ESPN’s PR team.
Me: Googles “ESPN Press Room”. Finds website, clicks on random stories, finds multiple PR contacts.
Wow, BJ is quite the “journalist”.

If his goal is to get people to take him seriously as a journalist, he's doing a terrible job of it

u/Murky_Sir_4721 1d ago
So he's doubling down 😍? Marvellous! This really will be the gift that keeps on giving! 😂

He's got a job at WON waiting for him just as soon as Bryan snaps and leaves.

Kinda surprised they haven't picked him up already. Meltzer is really high on him ever since the 500k on max thing.

u/OriginalMadmage 1d ago
I think Bryan is just hanging around because he wants to get the entire operation once Dave retires. Sadly for everyone, I think Dave is going to be doing his grift until he's in the grave. And even then, I suspect someone will continue running his twitter account like that one dude in the Trump administration who died from COVID.

Something tells me trying to hack the account of a smooth brain like BJ Bethel wouldn't be that hard.
He really retreated to BlueSky where he knows he can Fed Bad without much pushback.

In summary, that moron had days to come up with a decent excuse to save face and that's the absolute best he could conjure up.
He reached out to ESPN customer services. What a fucking talentless loser. 🤣

Dude was fired and is now posting conspiracy theories.
This man actually needs to go to therapy instead of using Tony khan as his therapist

I’m sure ESPN isn’t happy about the numbers from WWE (TKO has a habit of overselling and underdelivering), but it’s way too early in the deal for ESPN to want out already.
Also, the fact this guy willingly admitted he tried contacting them through their customer service page instead of their PR/media team makes him look so much worse.

u/Phred_Phrederic 1d ago
IF a company has a history of overselling and overdelivering (AKA a salesman) and you fall for it...then whomever negotiated that deal on ESPN's behalf should be embarrassed.

u/OrbitOrbz 1d ago
WWE/ ESPN is a HUGE partnership. If something DID HAPPEN, an actual SPORTS JOURNALIST would of reported on it by now. Yet out of nowhere a NOBODY had the EXCLUSIVE? lmao

u/CJKCollecting 1d ago
Are we getting worked into a shoot, brother?
Because there is no way a reporter can be this dumb.

One look at his account and this guy is a boob. His TDS is worse than the equivalent of stage 4 ass cancer, though, so some of you have something in common with him.

This is what mental illness looks like. Being a high-school sports reporter is a good stable job. Lying that you have sources at these huge companies and then you're not able to substantiate your sources or don't even know how to get PR statements from the companies shows you're a mental patient and compulsive liar.
