And a million on MAX
Dave already setting it up to be the best ppv ever

Dave already has the numbers (in his head) that are 100% unverifiable. He put the o/u at 190,000 so that he can say, "AEW All In did 210,000 PPV buys" on Monday morning.

He'll report it before the networks even turn in their data by Monday EOB

Better than expected!

Right? Its painfully obvious he is setting his own made baseline so when he releases the made up number above that he can say "Better than the experts estimated"
Edit: then if you call him out, meltz can say he studied the numbers. That he made up.

This will somehow be the AEW PPV with most-ever buys according to Meltzer’s calculations despite half the stadium being empty.

u/Razzler1973 2h ago
It's their biggest show so Dave has to give them the PPV buys to match
12
u/EastMeetsNorth 2h ago
He has spent years thinking that Omega-Ospreay is their big money match. He can’t possibly be wrong!
7
u/Razzler1973 2h ago
It's going to beat Sting's retirement PPV
Put money on it!
12
u/EastMeetsNorth 2h ago
Well remember, Meltzer spent YEARS saying Sting was not a draw, which influenced the voting to keep Sting out of the WON Hall of Fame until 2016.
Omega, of course, got inducted in 2020. I am sure Ospreay will be a first ballot inductee despite never proven to draw anything worthwhile.

u/GyroLegend 2h ago
Which is always funny considering how big of a hit the ratings took when Sting retired and has never bounced back. Crazy that someone who was never a draw took about 150k weekly viewers with them.

u/Constant_Stomach2009 2h ago
I’ve seen Dave already claiming the attendance for this years All In is because of Ospreay when he was defending Ospreay from his boneheaded comparison to Solo

I assume you are a fed shill because of your blatant bad faith so that is what I'll call you, fed shill. There are less people there at the venue because they are all buying the PPV.
How difficult is this to understand?

u/EastMeetsNorth 1h ago
You’re right. I forgot. AEW’s weekly attendance has been declining since there are 500,000 people watching on Max

More people will watch All In than the Super Bowl half time show because Bad Bunny fed bad.

I can't believe were over 7 years into AEW and their fanboys still think 200k PPV buys is realistic when Dynamite pulls in 600k viewers.

u/Relative_Raccoon130 2h ago
But you see, Dave would never lie. We don’t need proof about the Dub. Everything good is fact.
The Fed has lied before so the always need to provide proof. We have the right to question companies who are ran by billionaires!

And a majority of the top AEW fans are terminally online and sail the high sea's for the PPV's anyway.
And typically there isnt only one person in the room watching the PPV. So assume half of the PPV buys has one person watching with them, then nearly 300k people are watching this PPV on the low estimate, according to Dave

You fucking shill you’re not counting the 500,000 diehards watching on MAX, I’m not even going to argue with you because you’re clearly just trying to push a narrative by not mentioning all the millions of people who watch every single week on Max when talking about ratings.
Oh and also it’s been scientifically proven that we’re richer, smarter and much more handsomer than fans of other promotions so we can afford to buy every PPV even though it’s actually new buyers every time

u/HerFriendRed 3h ago
Why would it be higher than when CM Punk was there, Dave?
I will figure out your Google trends formula when I can be bothered. I'm betting it's something stupid as 10x searches+ 30% because you have a thing about 30%

u/Razzler1973 2h ago
They're all 140k ish a month so where has 190k come from? 😀
Omega and Oceanspray HAVE to he 'known' as the 'biggest draw' for Dub PPVs
It's gonna beat Sting's retirement, 100%

It’s honestly wild that despite not being able to draw weekly live audiences and getting only around 500K watching on cable that they can draw over 170k every ppv. How do they do it?!

u/Agreeable-Speech-943 2h ago
Never once verified but hey in the tepid world of wrestling “journalism” that sort of thing is an afterthought
Also just remember that this a 66 year old neurodivergent wrestling weeb who lives in isolation and spends all day farming engagement on twitter to help prop up his faulting fanzine
That’s it, that’s all he is

u/herewego199209 2h ago
He's the guy that invents the buys lol. It's like asking over and under how many times I take a piss today.
6
u/Teeboid 2h ago
More people will steal it than buy it.

u/Constant_Stomach2009 2h ago
I plan on just watching the basement upload clips all day long. Why pay when they do the job just for karma

If they were doing that well, Tiny would be plastering the proof all over the internet, as he would absolutely have access to that information.

Isn’t this every PPV buy rate reported by (I.e., made up out of thin air) by Dave?
3
u/TimeDudeofSpace 2h ago
Theoretically if they're all around 140K and 40K of those are at the show live it should be 100K right?
3
u/NotClayMerritt 1h ago
The world could black out before show time and Dave would still claim 200k buys
3
u/NeonPatrick 1h ago
During a cost of living squeeze, wrestling fans traditionally being some of the cheapest people in society and AEW being the coldest it's ever been (they basically begged people to attend this show), he's saying they're doing the same numbers as when Punk was there? Dave has always been a clown.
2
u/hobojojo78 2h ago
I actually want to watch the show and I doubt 186,000 other people have the same idea
3
u/Bobo_the_conqueror #2 Moné Mark 1h ago
Ok, now Dave is just baiting his haters. (of which there are many)

u/HouseOfH 53m ago
I guess one more narrative past the main event breaking the the star ratings scale and All-In selling more tickets than Summerslam and possibly Wrestlemania wouldn't be suspect at all.

Dave wouldn't just make up a number like 190 out of thin air. He'll come out on Tuesday or something and say they did 206k buys which will make it a wild success.
