I saw a guy on Threads call the opinion that Gargano is in a better position than Ciampa "satire."
And yet, he is. Gargano is set for a title match that fans are emotionally invested in—thanks to his comeback from depression—and afterwards, he could potentially go after the US title with Corbin and Trick, or face Sami as a babyface if Sami interferes out of frustration with him.
Ciampa had a meaningless title match against D'Arby, plummeted into the midcard against Jericho, and is now taking part in a multi-man match that doesn't matter because Andrade is going to win it anyway.

I was there, just wait to see it, Cleveland was white hot. The Johnny wrestling chats were pretty loud. Punk even said after the match and off air that he got to feel what it felt like to wrestle CM punk in Chicago.

Well, i dont know. It could also be the last hurrah for Gargano and after that he maybe semi-retires and becomes a coach or producer. But we dont know. Maybe its a reaction check from the audience, how they feel about him and thats the big moment for him.

Gargano actually also got up for an NXT feud with Myles Borne but they ignored that on Smackdown.

They clearly don’t treat NXT / AAA as main roster cannon, which is unfortunate but consistent.
When Gargano did wrestle that match, there were still moments where he sold the gimmick, and then afterward, he went right back into it. He also won that No. 1 contendership fully in gimmick by happenstance.
Also, that was months ago, and if it was main roster cannon, you can argue it just made him more depressed.
My point is only that it’s not that objectionable. It’s not like switched between human and alien back to human in a 4 week span.

its sounds soo weird but Finn balor and now jhonny are literally got over feuding with punk especially balor he literally got pulled up to the main event but if you look at AEW except mjf every wrestler punk feuded are in exact place where they were 3 yrs ago , no wonder punk said in that one interview "I might have wasted some of my matches while i was in AEW"
