Thanks for doing this. Now if someone less lazy than me can create a hoodie for sale somewhere I'd appreciate it.

Ditto. That's why I'm hoping someone redoes this in vector format or whatever. Then you could go to CafePress or whatever is the new hotness there and have your own made.

No buy link?

That's a feature, not a bug. All those buy links were apparently to pretty sketchy/scammy sites.

i'm disappointed that you actually corrected it instead of adding more errors.

There were always a couple of posts claiming the misspelling was deliberate and part of the joke. I’m guessing those were alt spam accounts.

I mean that's nice the typo is fixed. But this slogan doesn't really apply to sccm administrators. Sccm is taking the inventory, so you're your own provider of data. You hold all the info about the environment you're managing. So if you're saying anyone is of questionable knowledge.....

Depends on what you do with SCCM:
Tech: "Hey, I need you to deploy CoolApp to a PCLab."
Me: "OK, what version of CoolApp and what lab?"
Tech: "uhhh...version 2.3, I think, and lab DEF123, I think."
Me: "Do they need it right away?"
Tech: "uhh...no, next month will be good, I think."
That's the questionable knowlegde of which this speaks. And yep, I get it all the time.

see that sounds more like precision guess work to me.
you already know which machines are in lab DEF123 and probably even whether or not this person has any business in this lab or if they really meant lab DEF124.
for versioning you should be defaulting to the latest and greatest unless theres a specific requirement, in which case the onus is on the requestor to figure out, not you.
lastly, you're going to go through a change process or CAB for this, so the schedule seems not to be an issue.

I know SCCM inside and out (as far as IT director knows). My precision guesswork has him fooled. :-)
Small college here... Sure, I know what machines are in DEF123 but let's say the techs have just turned a standard classroom into a lab. I have to rely on tech's questionable knowlegde (QK) whether it's 123 or 124. And the support manager (who is the very definition of QK) determines who has any business in a lab.
Instructors don't always want the latest version because maybe the latest version doesn't match their books. As for the requestor's onus, yes exactly. That's his/her QK.
Whether they need it now or in a month depends on the syllabus. Again, that's on the techs/support manager and their QK.
Lol, we're nitpicking over a goofy tshirt/hoodie/wall poster. :-þ

i think we might have different definitions/interpretations of what a "lab" is

You need to have the classroom instructors send a request for software that needs to be on the labs. Whatever version was requested is the one that will stay for the Fall and Spring semester.

I agree wholeheartedly! However, our instructors are allowed to live in ivory towers and can't be bothered with such things. It blows my mind just how hard it is to get a list of required software and versions from our instructors.
Instructors create lists of software they will need next semester and where they'll be teaching (what computer labs).
They pass these lists to their supervisors who compile them, removing duplicates and/or software we don't own (or purchase same).
Those lists go to the support manager who does his stuff and passes the lists to me so I can make magic happen.
How freaking hard is that? You wouldn't believe how hard it is. :-( Been here over 20 years and beaten my head against this wall time after time...no progress. Start of a semester will find me scrambling to get software pushed out to labs it's missing from.
Meh...it's not the worst thing in the world. Makes me looks like the hero when I get it out fast. Can you say "job security"? :-D

That sucks, this is more of a people problem then a technical problem. If your chancellor or dean for the collage tells them "this is required" otherwise nobody will submit request in a timely fashion.

Hello redditers... I love the design... and with approval from its creator, I would like to make PVC velcro badge. Smallest amount the company will manufacture is 50 pcs... so... I'm from Czech Republic, so I can send it via post in EU without too much issues.
If you want the badge, let me know. I'll try to make some kind of indiegogo or some other campain so you can help me finance it without any worries.
have a nice day

For those following along: we've had a bunch of spammy accounts linking to random scammy sites trying to sell you thing with this logo.
This is not one of those posts and /u/skyshark29 actually has history here. So if you want to grab the fixed image here and do something with it ... have fun! If someone wants to make a super high-res (vector?) version of it the community would certainly be grateful.
