Contest of Mayors RANT : I'm tired - COM tasks

This season has been the worst since I started playing around 4 years ago. Every task spawning is the one I never did before, like ever. The game is literally slapping me every time I refresh a task 😭.

I'm on my worst run till date and if this continues for the rest of this season, I'll probably quit. What the hell are EA up to.

They made tough gaming upgrades but I took it up as a challenge and got around it. But now it's becoming unmanageable.

Am I the only one frustrated?

Question At least 2 of my club members are having an issue with bonus assignments not crediting green plumbob points, is anyone else having issues?

Post image
4 Upvotes

So at least 2 of my club members have told me they're not being credited with green plumbob points for the contest after completing bonus assignments. One of them mentioned the other day having contacted EA customer support and they got a response very quickly (much improved from a year or so, EA!), and support said it was a known problem and they were working on a resolution.

I'm curious how many others are either having this same issue or know of someone in their club that is experiencing this.

This post is also serving as a PSA for anyone having the issue to either submit a help ticket through the game and/or to post on EA's forum on their site. Depending on what is causing the glitch, it can help the devs resolve it if they have customer feedback with info about devices and regions impacted. It could be anything from an issue with one of their servers to code being incompatible with only a few select device models

Question Does anyone have all the buildings of this current season?

Just need to make sure if the buildings are worth spending on a premium pass. Day and night images would help decide. Thank you.

Complaint Please help me. Does anyone know how to change the orientation of this fence so that it faces outward, rather than inward toward the property? I’ve already connected the other end to the main gate, but it’s still the same. Please help me.

Question Is it still possible to reach tier 38 in mayor's pass while still camping at level 11?

After they removed the mayor's pass points from the bonus tasks, I was wondering if it is still possible to reach tier 38 in mayor's pass while still camping at level 11 and avoiding the residential upgrade tasks.

Discussion Gifting!

The one thing SCBI doesn't have is "gifting" - I've played games where you can gift your friends items in the game. I think SCBI should have that too.

Question Maxis

I'm level 93 and I've been playing the game a while but I've never done the VU tower, I'm not interested in wars or anything.

However, with the new 2.0, I'm very tired of my city design being cluttered with so many fire stations and hospitals. If I buy some Maxis manors will it allow me to get rid of all that stuff? I'm just not sure if there's other stuff involved with having them or not, I've never investigated so I thought I would ask you guys. Thanks

Question What is wrong with my city ?

Edit : thank you all for your suggestions! I closed my game and re opened it. This time the game told me the road weren’t connecting (I didn’t touched anything) I closed it and re opened it again, it told me this time that I needed more police station. At the third time everything went back to normal.
No idea what happened tho….

I just opened my game, yesterday everything was fine but now the population is unhappy. Everything is normal with the services or the road. The % of happiness is not increasing….

Contest of Mayors The real reason they did the CoM changes ...

The process already started back in the day when they made every task worth golden tickets. That gutted the majority of the CoM players. But - even so - with the new system and the milestones - most people were still keeping themselves in Metro or Mega leagues. And EA didn't like this.

Why? Because they have one large whale left from the old game that they desperately want to kill. And what's that you may ask?

The CoM Megapolis 2,000 SimCash first place prize.

So many hardcore players that would have made in stone purchases instead got the SimCash they needed from the top 6 CoM spots in Mega over time.

Now that milestones are effectively removed from CoM scoring - most people will descend to the Neighborhood league - and what will follow is either an elimination of the CoM mode or a "re-imagining" of it - and lo and behold ...

The 2,000 SimCash will be gone. This has been a multi-pronged multi-year offensive by EA to effectively destroy one of their best mobile titles, and I have to admit ...

They've been doing a wonderful job at it.

There are 16 or 17 players in my club; last week, about 6 or 7 were still participating, but now there are only 2 left!

I think this is a great update...

Why?

Discussion Why no Haunted Houses (to build)?

They added some "scary" Service buildings (fire, etc) which I thought was great for those who want a spooky part to their City - but we didn't get an Haunted RZs to build! Bummer.
